They're actually incredibly clean animals. I am sure, given an opinion; rats would have a thing or two to say about humans and I'd be inclined to agree with the rats, to be honest!

To be fair, their reputation hasn't really recovered from the Black Death.

But they could certainly learn from the squirrels. A bushy tail, and a bit of PR from Beatrix Potter, and who knows how they'd get on.

Quite true DSR. You may well have meant that in jest but if history had portrayed things differently. Rats need to be cuddlier to get a fair press. Vanity is everything to humans. They'd never throw a dead kitten, or a dead baby on the pitch because it's defined as cute and or indefensible. But a rat's ok because, well; it's not as worthy of respect.

I've got a real rat phobia. But I've spoken to people who keep pet rats and they reckon they make great pets as they are very intelligent. The thought of even a pet rat sitting on the back of my sofa absolutely scares the living daylights out of me! Do you have pet rats thin lizzy? You sound like you are a fan of them.

Actually, eddie, they were just pining for the fjords. That's what you get when you get a derby match between the two top sides in Copenhagen (Koben havn). As my Danish grandmother used to say, there are no real Danes in Copenhagen. Disgusting.

Rats are everywhere. You just never usually see them.
