May a wimp of a leader

Post by ablueclaret » Wed Apr 19, 2017 9:16 am

Calls an election and then is frightened of a debate.

Tells us all we need to know about her strength of character.

Fails to fight to remain in the EU.
Flips side when convenient
Needs Boris in her Cabinet
Can't support her Chancellor.
Can't govern with a majority.
Needs the Daily Mail as an ally.
Walks hand in hand with Trump.
Makes an opportunistic U -turn on handling an election.

A sad excuse of a leader, what a choice we have?

Now we have the chance to get rid of her given how awful she is.
And of course there is every possibility we will

The less I get to hear about Sturgeon bleating in a debate, the better!

Would that be the same Sturgeon who whined that May isn't an elected leader and is now whining that there's going to be an election?

Can't be the same one.

That's the one, who's got to deal with people who've been telling others she isn't an elected leader.

Well she's probably going to become an elected leader, that should be interesting watching her pull the rug out from under the feet of certain people.

She was the best of a bad bunch at the time she became leader of the Conservatives.
I think she's more of an opportunist than a wimp.

She saw an opportunity to become leader of the Tories after the farce post the Brexit vote
even though she was pro Europe and now, after declaring she would not call a general election
has changed her tune because she believes she'll get a large majority and be around
for another 5 years.
The notion that the country is united but Westminster divided and that she needs a large majority to get her through
the Brexit negotiations doesn't really stand up apart from the fact that she doesn't want to put
whatever deal she manages to get up before Parliament without a bigger majority as she fears
Parliament rejecting it.

Having said that she will probably get a decent majority even though many folk
do not want another election.

When you look at the facts :-

52% of the country were lied to and fooled into voting brexit, a high % of those who voted to leave have since passed away and if we had the vote again remain would win
Then this woman is proceeding to take us out the amazing EU despite all these lies now being exposed and how vital it is we stay in the EU
The NHS is collapsing due to tories
All workers are about to lose their rights and pensions due to tories once we leave the EU

Suppose we should be pleased she has called this election, I mean she can't win can she ?

So everyone that voted leave was fooled, a high percentage of those that voted leave have passed away and workers are to lose their rights and pensions because we are leaving the EU?

Jesus wept! The scary thing is people like you get to vote.

1 - I don't think many young people have died.
2 - Why is it vital we stay in the EU instead of leaving?
3- The NHS has been in a poor state for a long long time, but political parties would rather use it for point scoring instead of sitting down together to fix it, if you can't see that I suggest you need to take off your labour tinted glasses.
4- The rights that will be enshrined into UK law?
You can't be on about those can you?
As for pensions, wasn't it Brown who raided them?

She is truelly awful. Go and watch her debates with Joanne Lamont in the lead up to the 2014 Indy ref. Was a pair of screetching cats.

If Corbyn did some of the stuff May does, Tory voters (and the press) would ridicule her. If Corbyn was PM, called an election but refused television debates - the Daily Mail would call him spineless. If he had said remain but is now 'fighting' for leave - the Daily Mail would call him hypocritical and flimsy. Weird politics, innit? Contrary. A tedious game of spin.

In a democracy you expect the leader to be able to argue their case in public, May is refusing to do so, she like the rest of the Tories think they have a divine right to govern without engaging with us plebs.

A weak limp women who merits scorn for the excuses she made to take us into a quite unnecessary election.

Not sure an election is needed but can understand the reasoning behind it. Not sure a TV debate really helps. She doesn't think she has a divine right to govern which is why she is going to the polls. She is engaging with the public and door knocking with her constituents.

Or maybe, she went for a walk with her hubby and thought how the hell can I do this with a chunk of Parliament and the Lords against me.
and against Brexit which has a democratic majority of the people, which I'm trying To implement.
The Tory party has a democratic right to lead but as Prime Minister Mrs May does not, so she's putting it to the people.
democratically, support me in this and defeat the people that want to divert Brexit and the will of the people.
She doesn't want to, and shes shown Vulnerability, which the press will seize upon.
She could cling to power til 2020 and play at politics, but she may actually be a serious politician.
I've never voted Tory, except when doing a Proxy vote for the next door neighbour, felt a bit dirty afterwards, but I Salute her.
She has the courage of her convictions, even if reluctantly and she is canny enough to know that she is personally risking all for power to do the best for this country.

Some people need to remove their labour tinted spectacles.
It's strange but it's true that the tories are currently the closest thing we have to a working class party.
Labour has spent too long and too much effort supporting the lazy bast*rds in the country, and now put them first before the working man.

In fairness to May, She doesn't need to take part in the pathetic TV debates, she's clearly going to take a majority with ease. So why even risk a slip up in a live tv debate.

I'll be voting, and for the first time in my life it will be for the conservatives, because at this moment in time, Theresa May is the best option we have for stability going forward.

I don't think she's weak, but she's certainly an opportunist.

I won't be voting for her, but if she actually meant that first speech outside No 10, and feels that the only way to deal with the issues in her own party is to have a massive majority, then she's taking the chance to get it.

Time will tell.

predicting she will win.

of course she has taken a chance, if she was weak and easily led as so many believe on here then she would never have called for this Like Cameron she is taking a chance in that the voters agree with her and she can shut up many fronts and have a stronger platform to be able to negotiate from. I agree with her and will be voting for her in only to shut IT up and his crew of moaning people who are afraid of the dark/unknown outside the EU, thank god somebody with balls is leading the country because the rest of the men on show have none. Sturgeon is a little tea pot spouting shite, I pray the SNP get there noses rubbed in what she spouts.

The alternatives to T May winning do not bear contemplating and far worse calamities will follow if she does not.

Maybe once she's had a nice win for her ego her and her friends in the media will be able to stand up to all the other leaders who've been so bullying her and her agenda for all this time.

What each party has stood for over the years has changed.

I'm not saying the tories are great, But at present they are by far the best of a bad bunch.

My eyes are open. I'm watching in despair as this government destroys our public services in the name of austerity, whilst doing nothing for the environment despite the election promises.

Maybe once she's had a nice win for her ego her and her friends in the media will be able to stand up to all the other leaders who've been so bullying her and her agenda for all this time.
She's just placing herself on firmer ground, simple tactics to deal with people like Sturgeon.

I understand exactly what she's doing, it's nothing to do with 'unity', 'certainty' or the rest of the ******** she's been spouting since she's been in change. It's powergrabbing whilst the time is right.
