Wednesday racing

Post by happyclaret17 » Wed Apr 19, 2017 12:15 am

quick re cap on today
ELYAASAAT was drawn wrong side as I feared....mid to high numbers dominated....still a good effort by the winner though as that sire improves a lot for a run....Elyaasaat will leave this form behind soon.

BUSHEL was well backed during the morning and got a real strong ride to get up....I didnt get 8/1...just over 6/1.
CONTRIBUTE was well backed but showed little.
TATTING was also well backed and got a real strong ride to win...got 5/1.
so STREET CRY the sire of both of these 2 has had 12 runners at southwell 1m 3f in last 2 years...6 won...the other 6 finished 2nd or 3rd.
VIA IGNATIA was weak betfair and lost nicely for a winning lay....trainer said he was 80 percent fit and needed further.
STRONG STEPS tan poorly after being well backed earlier in the day.

AMONG ANGELS was weak on betfair but got 3rd...I was on ew 123 so no damage done.

GALLERY EXHIBITION halfed in price and did the job...got 12/1

PRINCE OF TIME traded 1.2 in running but was on the slowest part of track throughout...a huge run given the poor ride.
TRUST ME BOY was never travelling but stayed on well for 5th....a bet for us when they try a mile at the course.

TOP MISSION was weak on betfair but traded 1.05 in running before weakening close home...showed a reaching action and probably not enjoying the combination of undulating track and fast ground.

RYEDALE RIO was a big disappointment...I liked his chances today and his run was a mystery to me.

DJARKALIN was beaten so that was a good lay.

Foxy forever led but wasnt good enough.

WEDNESDAYS RACING
2 50...HOT ROCK 8/1 is another society rock...they have tended to be quick into their stride on most of their debuts so far and brian smart who won the good 2 year old race at musselburgh with a debutant trains...this is a february foal so quite mature...he is also one of the most expensive...draw in 8 not perfect but the sires speed may overcome this....if he was better drawn he would be half the price.

4 10 I am laying noble manners for a place....sired by myboycharlie who is an awful 5f sire and first time out as a 2 year old is only 2 percent..all 14 2 year old debutants running 5 furlongs didnt place.....the dam sire has a staying pedigree.

5 30 RED TORNADO 6/1 ran a really good race last time out and looks like an improving hurdler....from the in form skelton yard they usually back theirs heavily....I expect this to be well backed....the fav in the race copain de classe has a big knee action and encounters fast ground for the first time here...if he is 3.2 or less at some stage I will be laying him.

8 45 SIMPLY CLEVER 8/1 has had some bad draws over this course and distance and is unlucky not to have won a couple due to that....good price at 8/1 plus.

red tornado and simply clever looks a good each way double at top price on oddschecker...will check in a moment what price they are.
difficult to know exactly what will happen with hot rock first time out from a moderate draw....

its a day full of seasonal debutants so not playing in those races....there will be loads of notes made....utc.

both red tornado and simply clever are 7/1 with bet 365....they closed my account so hope you make them pay...those prices are too big.

I am not expecting a good run from noble manners cutsy...breeding not right...respect the trainer and jockey but that's about it...do like the chances of the ew double with the other 2 named...perhaps throw the 2 year old in for an ew robin to small stakes...if both oblige in the ew double without the place part it is paying 55/1 at 7/1 and 7/1...if both place you will win a few quid.

a quick point about gosdens horses...his 3 year olds have been having an easy time of it on their first outing this season...I think some time soon he is going to have a really good day with a few once raced 3 year olds winning...I will try and remember to check every day but if I miss anything can someone just post me a message on here...could be a nice pay day...don't forget to get top price guaranteed because if he has a couple of early winners the price will tumble on the others...utc.

thanks Fulledge..I will be checking those out...I think anything less than 10/1 is worth throwing in ew doubles and trebles providing no negatives....not saying it will happen this week or even this month but I really think he is going to have a blinder in april or may....a trainer who gets his horse to peak late spring and summer.

there is a society rock 2 year old ...running in the 2 15...first time out...KIKINI BAMALAAM well drawn in 2 and an early filly....only reason I havnt selected her today is that I prefer colts and geldings in these 2 year old races...especially on a track like beverley where their can be trouble in running...fingers crossed she doesnt win or the remotes going through the telly...she is around 10/1.

Thanks for this Happy. Really enjoying your logic applied to each race. Not saying I am backing all the horses as I have my own faves and certain jockeys/ trainers I like to bet on . Your additional expertise is proving extremely useful though and look forward to your posts each day

Apologies to anyone who followed these tips.
Every now and again I spot these posts and have a flutter, every time I do nothing lands.
Every time I miss the post they all fly home.

I do believe I am cursed in the betting world.
