One you FunkyDrummer though the line up for some programmes looks a bit light weight for those into the serious stuff

Thanks for the heads up CP, put it down for recording - as you say it may
be a little on the light side, but I notice Herbie Hancock is one of the artists
featured, so you never know.

This features one of the drum pieces (not solo) that I had to learn - it looks
deceptively easy, but it isn't, honestly.

James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, the Average White Band, Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire - the usual excellent live music footage from the BBC archives..the Blaxsploitation movies including Shaft...then there was George Clinton-Parliament-Funkadelic [P-Funk...]then bits of Cameo, Prince, Daft Punk...and then Disco came along and took over the world [well something like that]. Excellent programme, typical of BBC4, especially where they explain the social context in which this music was being made.

Next programme just starting..'The Genius of Funk'.
