Flat!
Flat!
A strange and subdued performance today, not just from the players but the support as well.
I'm sure our fans were as overawed as some of our players seemed to be. Say what you like about United fans and where they may or may not come from, they support their team throughout and have a right old repertoire.
Wanting points to ensure safety, I was expecting a much better atmosphere and some real in their faces football. We got neither today.

Re: Flat!
A team bereft of confidence and belief at the moment.
United did a job on us today, particularly Fellaini on Barnes. Mourinho knew exactly how we were going to play.
Gone are the days when teams would come to little old Burnley and expect us to roll over. They do their homework, which means we have to be a little bit cuter.
We'll creep over the line, but there has to be more flexibility in Dyche's tactics/formations for next season.

What I wasn't doing was giving verbal abuse to Burnley players from minute one.chorleyhere wrote:And you were where exactly singing your heart out??

To be fair, we weren't given a lot to shout about today. I think the
occasion got to us all.

Re: Flat!
Atmosphere at the back of the Cricket was fine. Some periods where the play was so subdued it reverted to the stands but I suppose we should be used to not having shots by now.

"Atmosphere at the back of the Cricket was fine"
No, no it wasn't.... the Atmosphere at the front and middle of the Cricket was fine, then the foookwits at the back joined in at Makspeed 6 and it all fell apart.

Really???? I thought 99% of songs were started at the back. Maybe I'm wrong?Barry_Chuckle wrote:"Atmosphere at the back of the Cricket was fine"

Re: Flat!
Pity these wonderful United fans weren`t as prominent at OT where nearly al the noise came from Clarets, seems to be a trend of fans being better away than at home

Re: Flat!
Most songs do start at the back or left middle.
I stand in the middle and on numerous occasions those around me sang in unison with those at the front, same song, same tempo, clapping rythmically until those at the back joined it. It soon becomes untidy with different speeds and folk give up...... I was never like this on the Longside back in the day

Yes it's not what we expected. I think their first goal de flated everyone. By the way skipton claret, I assume you mean the abuse towards Gray? I thought he did well with what he had to work with.

Re: Flat!
I did feel a bit flat tbh, I think I was exhausted from waving my little flag when the players came out

Re: Flat!
Believe me I can't keep up with the speed singers, but I don't think it's that bad anymore. When the lads at the back of the longside upper used to bang on the walls at the back it was horrendous.Barry_Chuckle wrote:Most songs do start at the back or left middle.
