Crying Out For Kightly

Post by k90bfc » Mon Apr 24, 2017 9:29 pm

I said at the time he left,he deserved a lot more playing time for us,with our weak options up front, how we could do with him now to give us the attacking and shooting options we sorely need OUT WIDE,his CROSSES ARE MISSED AS WELL,ask Ashley and Sam,should have kept him, till the end of the season, when were safe,Big Mistake!

Another one who's apparently getting better the more he doesn't play for us...

I have always thought he was under used.
Right now I would literally rather play anyone than Boyd. It's like playing with 10 men every game

Mistakenly considered to be crosses, the Op must not have seen him play the two games or so last season

He had his moments, in the division below, and got us up the pitch, but invariably ran into a blind alley and that was your lot.

He wouldn't offer anything more than Boyd, in fact he would offer less and that's saying something.

The absolute model example of a revisionist thread on a player's ability. I really liked Kights for his attitude and workmate in that first season when he also scored one or two goals (e.g. Barnsley H, Blackpool A and of course Wigan H) which were vital to our promotion surge. However in his final 12 months with us I progressively came to grind my teeth to dust in frustration at his constantly ..and I really do mean constantly....taking the wrong choice when in promising positions. The final straw was his alleged performance away at Stanley in the League Cup this season...an absolute masterclass in abject decision making. In the end I was glad to see the back of him as he had proven beyond doubt that he was not good enough. Still think he is a good lad and great to see him helping Burton relegate the despised neighbours but to suggest he would be the answer to our creativity issues is just ridiculous.

We would have been challenging for a Europa league slot if we had kept Jelle

Has Kightly become the latest player to suddenly improve dramatically because he's out of the team?

Vossen has played Champions League football this year so I don't think he would lower himself to play in a team that was only aiming for a Europa League spot.

Best move of the season, unloading Kightly. Crosses? What crosses? Cut in...if he was lucky, shoot, very occasionally, maybe on target and even a goal.
I will go and tally them up using my collection of hens teeth.

Good luck to the lad at the lower league.

I thought he was excellent at Stoke in the last PL campaign. I believe he was tremendous at both Newcastle and Old Trafford

Arguably 3 of our most impressive away performances of that season. Only possibly Man C can rival them games.

People have very short memories, kightly was instrumental in taking us to the premiere league first time and certainly played a part last year too.

I'm not saying he is the answers to our current problems mind, Those answers are sadly on the bench or injured..
