Interesting range of spending - many clubs not in positions you think they might be

This may challenge the views of people on here as to how much we should be spending (though I believe you may have to spend to establish yourselves first and then again if you want to move up to the next bracket of upper mid table clubs). The key is not to keep buying players with no resale value, though that itself prevents churn of younger developing players.

Conte has had a go at the Manchester clubs, but they can afford it and need a complete rebuild - will be interesting if Chelsea use the Chairman's pocket for the Stadium development or have to restrict spending to fund now they are back in Europe and need a deeper squad
