Hasn't this picture been on here recently or did I dream it? Someone said the lad was Jay Rod.

Got to be 2003/04 with Branch as captain, and I think that was the 03/04 kit. If so, they beat us 3-2 in April 2004 when McGregor & Adebola score for us.
Sean Dyche doesn't look any different now. Has he not aged?

Re: But what was the year?
It was the game when we had to make two substitutions in the first 20 mins and Adebola wouldn't come on because it was too early for him. Stan had been banished to the stands and Ronnie Jepson didn't know what to do so we had the farce of having him running up the steps to ask. Adebola came on as a third sub later in the game.

Remember it well. Watford had a centre half who all he did was hoof it long to a target man.
Took us 4 years to learn how to deal with it.

Re: But what was the year?
We had a centre half that day called Graham Branch - with him at the back we conceded eight goals in two games at home that week.
Micah Hyde & Chris Baird also played for Watford that day and Lloyd Dyer was on the bench.

We were - Weller should never have started. He was struggling from the start and was off after quarter of an hour. Neil Wood was as bad and lasted another five minutes. Twice he was pushed back onto the pitch when clearly unable to continue and eventually Jeppo did his run up the steps.Steve1956 wrote:where we really so tinpot once?
That game was probably the worst performance of all in a shocking season.
