Thursday racing

Post by happyclaret17 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 10:19 pm

just 1 race of interest so far

1 50...ZEPHYR 7/1 available...ew bet.
the 2 favourites here both have soft ground actions ( prince mahler and Mr Caffrey)
between them they are responsible for 50 percent of the book.
that leaves value elsewhere and this one seems the best of the rest to me.
quite tired tonight so dont want to make any more bets...will check markets at lunch
tomorrow and update if anything else stands out.

get that 7/1...I think it will be 9/2 or 5/1...utc.

Didn't bother following this one as the odds had dropped by the time I saw the post. Watched the race however and bet on it in at 16/1 EW. Cheers happy!

Had a tip for uknowwhatimeanharry in the 530 at punchestown. I don't know the source personally so don't blame the messenger. I've backed it at 7/2.

What do you think happy?

I will have a look and get back to you pycb
4 10 perth
the top horse SPECIAL CATCH has drifted to 11 on betfair...dont know why the drift but think thats a big price...only 7 runners now...taken 11 and 1.9 for a place paying 4 places...

I lot of talk about Lil Rockerfellow at 7s in the 5.30. Doesn't run a bad race but has a lot of 2nds. Ew looks value at 7s though.

as fas as unowhatimeanharry goes....
when he won the cleeve they made him a hot fav for the world hurdle....the cleeve hasnt worked out to be good form this year and unowhatimeanharry is only a small horse....nichols canyon won that day and the ground was the fast side of good....nicholls canyon has a oproper knee action and todays slightly slower ground should suit more....lil rockerfeller was 2nd that day....I cannot see a logical reason for unowhatimeanharry reversing places ( unless the horse had a problem that day )
Personally I like fresh horses at punchestown who have been targetted at the meeting....if nicholls canyon didnt win I wouldnt be surprised if a horse that missed chelt and aintree did...utc.

It'd be brilliant if the horse was called 'Really Fancy Smoking Jacket'

hmmm pycb
didnt look very rsolute did he...thought he should have done the business there...only traded around evens in running...most times a horse travelling like that would have been long odds on..one to get at a big price and lay in running short...noted.

been passed a tip for Sutton Place.

Swerved the big festivals for this meeting. Expectation from the yard that he will improve for step up in trip.

Have a concern that he is bred to like slower going which is why he may have given Cheltenham and Aintree a miss

I think thats the each way value down rover...the ground is just on the easy side of good...so it should also suit nicholls canyon more...

What's the thoughts on Labaik in the 17:30 tomorrow, 16/1 seems a good e/w bet, it's whether he decides to run or not

you could take the 16/1 and lay for a place in 1234 market if there is one
manage your position in running if he jumps off.
