Re: Rovers conundrum
I'm more concerned with our future, than theirs. The nightmare scenario of us relegated and then staying up is still on......

Re: Rovers conundrum
If it goes down to equal goal difference with forest then rovers will go down. However brummie have the worst goal difference.
Re: Rovers conundrum
If Forest lose 2-0 and Btards lose 1-0, it will come down to goals scored - and Blackburn are in the worst position on that count too!

We need a good show from Brentford, though, no pre-beach stroll.

Re: Rovers conundrum
2-0 down and down on goal difference in the 90+8th minute by one goal, and then they score, but it's wrongly disallowed for offside after it was a Brentford player that played it through... PLEASEiluva64 wrote:Relegated on goal difference.................PLEASE

Even if the goal hadn't been wrongly disallowed, they'd have gone down on goals for. You need a more sadomasachistic scenarioImploding Turtle wrote:2-0 down and down on goal difference in the 90+8th minute by one goal, and then they score, but it's wrongly disallowed for offside after it was a Brentford player that played it through... Re: Rovers conundrum
Venkys announce a house building development on Deadwood at full time?
Re: Rovers conundrum
Or how about Forest win 2-0, but Bstards win 4-0, overturning the goal difference, with 2 of Bstards goals coming in the last two minutes of stopage time. Unfortunately, there is a pitch invasion at full time which turns a bit violent and Bstards get docked 1 point a couple of weeks later and go down?

Re: Rovers conundrum
Winning 1-0 for 90 minutes all the while Forest are getting beat 1-0 only for a 92nd minute miss kick by Wes Brown equaliser for Brentford and Forest then score a dubious penalty the 98th minute of added time a the City Ground to stay up, Will do for me.USC wrote:Even if the goal hadn't been wrongly disallowed, they'd have gone down on goals for. Re: Rovers conundrum
It'll take some special dispensation to fly over Griffin Park with a banner at full time if they drop, because it's on the flight path to Heathrow.
Re: Rovers conundrum
Bstards will lose heavily as Brentford want to finish as high as they can.Forest and Brum will both win. Bye Bye b@stards.

Re: Rovers conundrum
Some on this thread are putting too much thought in to all this - a late goal here/ a last minute equaliser there, etc, etc.
Look, just forget all that sh it.
I DONT CARE HOW IT HAPPENS, PLEASE JUST SEND THE BAS TURDS DOWN.
We'll beat WBA next week, and they'll get hammered at (in form) Brentford. Get the champagne on ice.
(The Clarets back in the 1st Division, that lot rotting in the 3rd Division, just like how it used to be in the good old days).
UTC NNN.

Re: Rovers conundrum
An interesting foot note about next week is Warburton now being manager of Forest. What's his relationship to Brentford like these days? Will Brentford want to see him relegated or will they put that little bit more in to help him survive?! For what it's worth I said Forest would go down about 3 weeks ago but I sincerely hope I'm wrong. They seem to turn up against the better teams (their last two wins were against Brighton and Reading I believe) but they've been utterly hopeless against the mid-lower clubs all season. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE win next week. Same goes for Birmingham.

Potential feeder club and home for out of contract loyal servants. Start by sending Robinson back to help them out.

Re: Rovers conundrum
I really don't think that the outcome of the Forest and Brum matches will matter all that much. I think Brentford will beat R*vers. As long as Forest don't lose by too many goals, Bl*ckburn will go down next week on Goal Difference.
Re: Rovers conundrum
I'm trying hard to think up a scenario that is even better than man u celebrating the title at Sunderland only for aguerro to take it off them.
A palace fan on the way out told me that all the Brighton fans were given scarves with 'champions' written on them before yesterday's home defeat to b city.
Please can something even better happen next week?
