Flanagan

Been hugely critical of him (rightfully so) but absolutely immense coming on today. I feared the worst with ward injured but he was superb!!

Agree.

We all know how BFS is able to change things at half time and I expected them to target Flanagan but he kept Zaha frustrated

Was worried when I saw him coming on and was hoping for Brady instead, but he stood up to Zaha well and did not let us down tonight against a very tricky (and whiny) customer.

I listened to the match on TalkSport and Stuart Pearce described the performance of Flanagan as "outstanding" saying that he was like a Tasmanian Devil confronting both Zaha and Townsend. Especially so since he has had limited game time.

Well done to the staff and players for a first away win and a vital 3 points in our season.

To be fair he frightened me each time he was near the ball.

Good ref not to blow a penalty against him - any homer would have definitely pointed to the spot

I was worried, didn't need to, Flannagan was immense.

This should do a lot for his confidence coming on against a team with tricky wingers who attack at pace and keeping them at bay helping to secure the first away win of the season.

The fans will also now have more confidence in him following this victory and performance.
