Best defensive coach....

Post by No Ney Never » Tue Apr 11, 2017 11:46 am

...in the premier league has to be Sean Dyche.

While Allerdyce and Pullis are considered top of the pops when it comes to setting up a team that's good defensively and hard to beat, both only do it at clubs with a decent budget to bring in the players they need and pay the wages necessary to attract them.
Sean Dyche has had very little in comparison and has had to coach his squad into a cohesive unit. He has developed 'unrecognised' players to become England international quality.
What Sean Dyche has had to do with the resources available must make him the best defensive coach in the premier league.

Michael Keane unrecognized? Really? Allardyce is the best of the bunch because hes done it 10x more than Dyche. I'm not sure what WBA spent on transfers but I doubt the 40 million we have spent is peanuts in comparison. Some managers can only do it at one club, some can only do it with certain sized teams (Different pressure, expectations, budgets, squad sizes). Would Dyche handle the big players? Dyche has 1 relegation on his CV (No thanks to the board) He's still learning but to say he's better than Allardyce is crazy.

Yes really when he joined us. Now that he's had the benefit of Sean Dyches coaching, he's become a recognised capped international, same as Heaton.

It may have escaped your notice, but Allerdyce has been a manager 10x longer.

So you don't know then!

Conte - how he changed that team round after the mauling by Arsenal is incredible - all the other strong defensive teams use banks of 4 he uses 3 with two midfielders in front (admittedly Kante plays like 3 most of the time) - just going off defensive records without having anything up front then you could argue for Karanka (not that many would) depends on the picture you want to paint

No it's not.
Michael Keane was at United, Manchester United not Scunthorpe United.Exactly Allardyce has been a manager 10x longer, he's proven over a period 10x longer than Dyche with many more teams than Dyche. No, I don't know what WBA have spent this season but to make what Dyche has spent (40M) peanuts in comparison, WBA must have really forked out.

Someones pants get wetter and posts more in tantrum mode when Blackburn are doing bad, no coincidence last couple of games for both teams have sent you over the edge.

No Ney Never not a chance. We are great at last minute blocks getting men back on the line and things but a great defensive coach would stop the ball getting into the box full stop.

Keane has progressed because he's playing week in, week out and it isn't just down to coaching at Burnley.

Experience matters more then most people think.
He's played alongside and trained with some very good defenders, both with us and at other clubs.

Wasn't he gash against us when he was at Rovers?
He wouldn't be that bad if he plays against us again.

I know you are a bit thick so I will try and help you out. When you post as you do on about 90% of every post on here with your anti Dyche anti Burnley boring drivel the chances are people are going to see it. I don't think anybody ever has come on here thinking "Hope the troll has been on again with his ********" but you pollute that many threads on here you make it hard to avoid.

You should have been banned ages ago that is my thought on you, you seem to think the idea of the internet is to give you a set of balls probably due to you wallowing in your bedroom alone til all hours. Still though carry on, one day you will target the wrong person with your gob and your identity be revealed. Hopefully this helps a little it isn't about being upset with you, the chance of anyone being upset with an irrelevance like you is really slim as I said it is probably more a pity thing.

You were an arsehole on here to someone who was in no position to defend himself (you know who I mean) and that should have seen you banned, some people don't forget.

I would put what conte did down to reorganisation rather than coaching. He's hardly had to coach his defensive players, Dyche has. He has done a fantastic job at Chelsea, but hasn't had to develop any of his players.

Really - Cahil in a three, Luis not looking like he is just one step away from another calamity, Victor Moses playing like a demon - that is coaching - they have benefitted enormously from not being in Europe so they can spend time on the training pitch.

Sean has definitely improved almost every player he has had at the club - at least the ones prepared to listen and work

Out thought, out fought, two nought. A tactical masterclass by Mr Dyche.

Dyche's single best moment as Burnley manager, IMO. Utterly depressing first XI, the kind of XI that might make away fans question why they spend so much money following Burnley, on the back of just one goal from open play in the last six games...2-0 win, perfect tactics, perfect substitutions. Bravo.
