No nonsense today. I thought he did rather well.
Certainly put an end to their antics early on and allowed a football game to proceed.

Thought he was very hit and miss.
How can any ref justify waiting 9.4 seconds to award a "handball" that leads to a goal?
What's the wait for?
He got the penalty decision (Zaha flinging himself to the floor for the umpteenth time) so as I say - hit and miss.

I thought he was terrible. Made some bizarre decisions both ways. Looked like most were a guess.

Why was Barnes "goal" disallowed?
Assistant Ref didn't flag, did he think it was ok?

It was rightly ruled out for handball. However neither the lino or the ref appeared to think so. If you watch the replay it's only when the palace defenders swarm the ref that he makes the decision.
Meanwhile Ashley has had time to run over and get in a little canoe and paddle away. Crazy sequence or events.

Meaning ref and the lino made one or two decisions that were in Burnley's favour. "What goes around, comes around."
Great result today/Saturday.

Utterly bizarre decision making for Ashley's "2nd"goal.
Handball? Absolutely. The delay in disallowing the goal was totally unacceptable. Barnes had almost paddled home by the time he disallowed it. Almost as if he "heard" handball from an outside source instead of actually seeing it. Poor refereeing. Very poor.
For that reason alone, and despite it being the correct call, he's had a "madley".

Pretty poor. Fortunately, for once it seems, a lot of the poor decisions went in our favour.
