Just finished by saying "Palace were beaten fair and square by the better team".

I'll second that.

That's his job - to be a good, neutral pundit.

If you don't do that, you shouldn't be a pundit.

That was my point - that they shouldn't be pundits, because they're crap and not neutral.

Fair play for him backing us, but he also suggested that Cabaye needed to come on for Palace.

Only problem is that he's not even on the bench....

Ian Wright was totally biased in favour of Palace,
He kept arguing the fact that Zaha should have had penalty when tackled by Jon Flanagan but Graham Poll kept saying it was not
Wright one of the most biased pundits on TV

I managed to find the NBC(?) stream where Lee Dixon was the co-commentator - thought he was very good as usual. I can't recall what point he was making but he went off on a bit of tangent about his trip to the farmer's market earlier that morning - possibly lost a little on the US audience amidst the more farmilair references to 'locker rooms' and transfer fees quoted in dollars.

haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere so I'll drop it in here.
Martin Keown was more than complimentary about us, Keane and Tarks particularly, during his summarising for BT.

Yes, not the first time that Keown has been complimentary about us. He provided an excellent assessment of us a few months back but I forget which game it was after.

Makes me laugh. If they are complimentary about us he's neutral pundit, excellent we like him very much. If he says it was def a penalty, does't praise us enough he's rubbish, completely biased and ignorant to boot! By the way I thought neither was a pen neither the Flano one nor the one when Boyd collapsed like sack of tatties.

Well I will agree that much of the time they spout a lot of nonsense.
By the way I was watching highlights of the barca espanyol game; I think it's Ray something, the geordie pundit; now he does talk nonsense, the way he tries to crowbar his similes into the commentary; best one: he pasted the ball into the top corner of the envelope goal like a postage stamp. So bad it's brilliant!

Thanks, well isn't that funny I watched it on BT and whilst Keowns voice was clear Hargreaves was obviously not to my ears.

Mind you I was sat right on top of one of the speakers, I agree I thought Keown was unbiased in his comments.
