More corner-flag than goalmouth action, I reckon. Div 2, PNE away, all over again.

That scenario is not entirely improbable.

Re: Swansea forum
I was having a chat with a Palace fan on Saturday who was still haunted by one of their relegations in the early 90's. They were 8 points clear of Oldham with 3 games to go but ended up being relegated on goal difference.
Fingers crossed we can get over the line on Saturday

Got it. Palace only got one point out of three and Oldham won them all. Now I'm worried!

Re: Swansea forum
Swansea beat Everton, unlikely.
Hull draw at Palace, unlikely.
Relegated teams (i.e. Sunderland) often pick up results after confirmation, losing to both Swansea and Hull, unlikely.

That would be interesting and bloody nervy.
However, I don't think Swansea will beat Everton so nowt to worry about in my opinion.

Palace had actually done a lap of honour at their last home game assuming they were safe as well. Details at link belowTurfiteclaret wrote:Got it. Palace only got one point out of three and Oldham won them all. Now I'm worried!

I think we'll draw our two home games, and have long thought that we'd win at Bournemouth. 44 points and no worries

Re: Swansea forum
Even if we lost the last three games, we'd not go down. One of Hull and Swansea might pick up points but not both. There are other teams below us, you know. Palace's run-in doesn't look too clever.

Re: Swansea forum
eerrrrm.
Swansea beat Everton?
Swansea might find Everton have something to say about that.
At the moment they have to go through all the Europa League qualification rounds.
If they can finish sixth they would qualify automatically.

One thing is for sure that if Swansea beat Everton then its wide open again.
All we can do is make sure we get mathematically safe as soon as possible.

Sunderland have a massive part to play in this, I really hope now the deed is done they will come out and go for it.
Re: Swansea forum
Panic over - They were only five points clear with a similar goal difference. The sort of Wonga that's knocking about for each place up the league should mean we're in the market for the full 9 points and a place near the top ten...with a big stash of extra loot for the players that get us there.
Never mind this relegation cack.

Been thinking for a while now that the Hull v Spurs game could well be a decider for several clubs. Don't think we'll be in it though. Palace, Swansea, Hull and West Ham at the bottom. Spurs and Chelsea at the top. Still think Chelsea will mess up in at least one game.

Re: Swansea forum
Don't think Hull will go down. We need Swansea to not win aganst Everton. If they do win, hopefully we will have beaten WBA so will already be safe. However, there are some teams that might be in for a surprise. Watford have a very tough run in. West Ham also. I can't see the Hammers getting anymore points before the come to us. If Palace were to lose to Hull they too could be in big trouble
Exciting times as we could finish 8th to 18th over 3 games.

I want Hull down but would be over the moon if it was either Palace or WHU as a good alternative.

We need Hull to stay up as they hardly ever beat us. Swansea is the opposite.

Don't mind Hull, easy to get to (for me at least), usually do OK against them and good away end. Much prefer them over Swansea staying up.

I wonder how long it will be before someone posts on here about the lack of new signings during the summer? How long before someone states that the board are useless and have no ambition?

Re: Swansea forum
Finish 8th? Haha that would be terrific, at 2 mil per place from bottom up that would give us 22 million more than Sunlan' and money to spend on two or three quality additions.
I'm sure we'll keep going for the points. I think we will get 7 from 9 and finish 10th.
