A Sad Piece Of News .

Post by davemanu2000 » Wed May 03, 2017 6:25 am

It has rained heavily during the last 10 days in Mauritius . There were cases of over flooding throughout the island . The roads had become very slippery and dangerous to drive .Even the some drivers ventured to drive risking their lives . Schools were closed and even some offices for the safety of their officers closed earlier than the scheduled time .There were red flags flashed on the public beaches and swimming impossible .

Mr George Vaughan aged 57 and his wife Elizabeth aged 47 arrived on 26 April and were to leave on 6 May . They decided to venture outside . They got a taxi car Hyundai IX 35 with a driver for their outing .They went south and on their return journey it was still raining torrentially . All drivers have to take extra precaution when driving ,All of a sudden the car skidded and it overturned several times .George died on the spot while his wife was conveyed to the hospital in the INTENSIVE CARE UNIT for treatment . Most unfortunately she also died on the operation table . The driver was severely wounded and is still in the hospital .On his recovery he will be charged for involuntarily causing the deaths of two persons .

The corpses are looked after for transportation to England today .I feel very sad for the couple . Nobody knows what is laying outside for us .

The climatic condition worsened in the afternoon. A bus collided against a fence at a roundabout resulting 12 deaths and 45 passengers wounded .

That's terrible news Dave. Let's hope there's no more tragedy.

The sun is playing hide and seek . It is raining at any moment and that quite heavily . All our water reservoirs are full .There will be no scarcity of water . The vegetable plantations have suffered and of course all vegetables are sold at a higher price .
The drivers are taking all precautions as we are being influenced by a anti cyclone. It will remain so for one week as per weather forecast .
As regards the bus accident which message I sent earlier has some casualties and luckily nobody has died as announced today on our local TV .

I know that you lot use the language differently, but when you said the driver was "wounded", it made me think that he was exchanging gunfire while driving through a particularly bad section of Detroit. Nevertheless, tragic news. We're expecting our own 3 days of non-stop rain over here.

Sounds horrendous. In the usual parochial way we haven't had any news of this in the UK media. Too busy spouting nonsense about Brexit and the Elections.

My pen has grown clumsy - I love that.

A poor workman never blames his tools, but not in this instance is that the meaning :)
