Pendle Constituency..

Post by Clarets4me » Thu May 04, 2017 7:47 pm

Just as things are going so well for Labour and Jeremy Corbyn, the Pendle Labour party have announced that their Candidate for the General Election on June 8th, is to be ..... Mr Wayne BLACKBURN !!

Perhaps a Deed Poll name change is in order, and we can see Wayne Upthemightyclarets, standing for the people's party instead... ;) ;)

I think this is JC's response to the proposal for Blackburn to field a "Venkys Out" candidate.

Perhaps we could all write to Mr Blackburn and tell him the only way to secure our vote is to change it to Mr Burnley or at the very least double-barrel it to Mr LeagueOne-Blackburn

Far too many people "counting their chickens before they're hatched" on this site

No chickens counted here, just a humorous observation of what would win votes in Pendle. Lighten up feller.

It was intended to be light. Your post was about league One B******s.
So, just in case you missed it.
Brentford to beat B*******s on Sunday. We all hope so, but "don't count your chickens". Yes I know - another feeble Venky joke - but I think it's you that needs to lighten up. :)

Exactly. That's why I didn't get your post. But given that you're a Falcon I'll steer clear of any bird jokes in future.

Genuine question - do birds get hit by lightening often?

Are we talking about "lightening here" or "lightning"?
Yes, I know. I need to lighten up.

It doesn't matter so much as they aren't grounded.

Swans have a habit of flying into electricity cables. Does that count?
