Diane Abbott - she's at it again
Re: Diane Abbott - she's at it again
She has made many racial comments through the years, remember the black mother walking through was one.She is not racist though she is a complete fruitcake.
Re: Diane Abbott - she's at it again
As I mentioned, I am aware of what she tweeted - it was well reported in Telegraph, Guardian, etc. If you feel that makes her a racist then I guess you and I have different opinions on that count. She has not made a good impression in the last few days - her interviews make her look incompetent (as I alluded to earlier, comparing her to Tubbs) - but I would not by any stretch label her a racist.cloughyclaret wrote:I hate quoting from wiki, but its nearly bedtime for me and you are free to research this further. Be fair, what else can this be construed as? 'Apology' or not.
"On 4 January 2012, Abbott tweeted that: "White people love playing 'divide and rule' We should not play their game", which again led to widespread criticism including accusations of racism. Only after being told by the Labour Party leadership that the comment was unacceptable did she apologise for "any offence caused", claiming that she had not intended to "make generalisations about white people"

How have you come to this conclusion in one post yet still expecting us to have 'different opinions'. This wasn't in the last few months/weeks/days. It was 5 years ago.USC wrote:I'm sure many people will agree with the other things you said about her (general incompetence), but calling her a "vile racist slug" and "odious" makes it appear that you have some sort of agenda against her. It makes you come across as somewhat misogynistic and racist, as I can only imagine you dislike her to that extent because she is a black woman. Of course, I may be wrong and you have some other reason for such hatred, however either way it diminishes the remainder of your argument.
Explain her point.
You still haven't explained the misogyny issue.

Really good video on here for the state of the current economic climate with regards to labour after these elections.

It's being reported they have a saviour or a white knight about to be deployed.
Who is it?
John McDonnell

'John McDonnell, the shadow chancellor, will be at the centre of Labour’s pitch to voters in the next four weeks as the party tries to win the public’s trust after a poor set of local council results.' (Guardian)
