First Time @ Turf
Very proud Dad moment today, taking my youngest Scott ( 6 ) to Turf today. Leaving Leicester shortly. Can anyone advise me what time the lads arrive, he's a massive Heaton fan and I'd love to grab him an autograph.

Brilliant. Have a great day. I'm sure your boy will love it. The atmosphere is something else for them at that age. A packed out Turf Moor can be a very special place.
I've taken my eldest boy on a couple of times this season as well, he turned 6 the other week. His first win was vs Everton. Clearly he doesn't understand how far we've come (I think my first win was vs Hartlepool in the late 80's!!).

Re: First Time @ Turf
The Burnley players make their own way to the Turf and I think would arrive and park up around half past one.

Think you probably need to be at the players entrance a couple of hours before kick off .

Re: First Time @ Turf
Someone asked this question a while ago and I think the answer was that they all get there between 12:30 and 1 o'clock

Players cars are parked around next to where Burnley supporters enter the CFS.

Tony - times have obviously changed,ClaretTony wrote:Someone asked this question a while ago and I think the answer was that they all get there between 12:30 and 1 o'clock
I remember a few seasons ago being invited by a certain fourth official to be a guest and all four officials and me walked around the inside of the ground before the game so they were familiar with it.
The ref bumped into Steve Cotterill in the back of the dug out near the changing rooms and was stuck their for about 15 minutes. He couldn't shut Steve up.
Anyway that was at 1pm and there wasn't a sign of any players so things have clearly changed for the better.

Someone asked the same question a while ago and I'm sure that was the answer. They wouldn't have got there earlier back then to keep out of Steve Cotterill's way I assume.tybfc wrote:Tony - times have obviously changed,

Now I wonder who that fourth official was.

Fantastic! My son was five when he first came on with me, he's now 21 and still doesn't miss a game even though he lives in York. You'll have many years of quality dad/son time on the turf, it's priceless.
Have a great day, both of you.

Have a great day with your son. An experience for him that will last a lifetime.
My son was 3 months old for his first game ( could not get a baby sitter and I was not going to mis a game !) He's 19 now and still runs into our bedroom at 6 am saying what time are we going ! - we live in Preston !!!
Have a great day

For 3pm ko, players arrive around 12:30.
I got there around 12 to be sure as I'd already missed Tom on a previous attempt
