Re: Today's Team
Hope we can get away it today with Long in defence, from what I've seen of him over the years if he just gets the ball away 1st time he will be an adequate short term replacement.

Hope Keane's back for the West Ham game, otherwise he's probably played his
last game for us on the Turf, realistically.

Do you mean the 20mins he played at Newcastle between coming on for the injured Shackle and going off injured himself?AshevilleNCClaret wrote:with this lineup I pray Swansea draws or loses today. long looked completely lost the brief appearance he made in the PL.

Re: Today's Team
I thought he did okay in the short period of time he was on at St James's certainly didn't look out of place that day.

Re: Today's Team
no doubt whatsoever that Keane is off to be fattened up for market, but its a risky strategy.
Keane missing last few games with a mystery niggle was always going to happen....its what we do...lets hope Long isnt too rusty.

Re: Today's Team
If the report posted on here yesterday that ManU will pay him £120k per week is anywhere near accurate I'm guessing it's an overdose of surprise.mkmel wrote:Have they said what Michael Keane's injury is?
Good luck to him. He played well last week. Claret's are in a great place after his time with us.

Re: Today's Team
Given we don't actually NEED to sell Keane it would have been more in our interest to let him take a chance on getting injured. Then he may not have passed a medical and still be a BFC player next season!
