fleetwood v bradford

Post by accy sue » Sun May 07, 2017 8:16 pm

Watching this match (yawn) Hilarious to think either of them might take Rover's place in the Champs! By my reckoning there were 8 leagues between Fleetwood and Rovers when Rovers were the 'rightful' champions of the Premier League!

Was really hoping for Scunny v Fleetwood at Wembley! Think Millwall will take their 'rightful' place back in the champs... Oh well, at least it was vacated by Rovers!

Going down and staying up!!!

Been a really poor match, hard to believe this is the second leg of a Play Off, Fleetwood have shown absolutely no desire/ambition to attack despite being a goal down from the first leg.

Dire.

To be fair Bradford have just completely controlled the game without needing to over commit. This is exactly how Dyche approaches football albeit with better players and if you think it is a bore fest then now you know how a neutral normally feels watching our turgid result orientated brand of football

And Millwall will hammer them at Wembley! SD has done far more and has the support of most neutrals! How very dare you criticise him on this most beautiful of days!

Only 6 or 7 years since since my local side, Buxton lost late on to Fleetwood in the FA Cup, winner reaching the 1st R proper.
Funny to imagine it'll be a Wrovers local Derby.

Flicked between Fleetwood and Scunthorpe. Scunthorpe v Millwall was a far better match.

Should be a good final. I just fancy Millwall

Fleetwood might have been stretched a touch too far if they'd gone up this season. I remember when people said that about us when we just missed the playoffs in our first championship season! I was angry at the time, but I think I get it now! Can't wait for the cods to do the double next season!

Looked like they had run out of steam Fleetwood.

At least them staying down will give RL a big local derby to get excited about

I went to the Fleetwood game yesterday, acting as chauffeur to my wife's uncle who doesn't drive and couldn't get home after the game due to a lack of public transport these days. Bradford were comfortable all game. Rosler changed nothing to counter Bradford's dominance.
Although Fleetwood seemed to have run out of steam over the last few games of the season, it has been a brilliant achievement by them to have got to the play offs on crowds of 3000 and a population of 26000. Fair play to Andy Pilley for his investment in the infrastructure of the club and community.

Bradford were comfortably the better team over the two legs, hopefully they'll now beat Millwall.
