Lets BUY Blackburn Rovers and turn it into...

Post by Claret-On-A-T-Rex » Mon May 08, 2017 11:19 am

We will soon be in a very unique position to BUY our rival football club and do what we want with it

High wage bills, expenditure and the way the club is run (badly) mean the distant, disinterested owners must be willing to accept a buyout.

They will certainly want to get rid of it if they go into administration.

In similar fashion to Pompey there will be an attempt by a coglomerate of Blackburn fans to raise the money to run the club themselves, this is doomed to failure for two reasons...

1: No fans with money, the one who made a bit of dosh has died.

2: No fans anyway.

So, WE could buy it and...

*Here are some of my suggestions...

1: Knock the sh1thole down and replace it with an enormous gravestone.

2: Blow the sh1thole up and replace it with one, solitary blue and white chemical toilet.

3: Rename it Burnley FC 2 and make it a feeder club.

4: Officially rename it "B4stard Rovers", rehire Owen Coyle and let Shebby run it again for amusement, if by some chance success looks like being achieved we can always revert to 1,2 or 3.

What would you do if we bought Blackburn Rovers??

It seems you're over-thinking this a bit, so I suggest we reduce the options down to a simple vote, viz:

A. Gravestone.
B. Toilet.
C. Both - i.e. gravestone lying flat with toilet on top, or
D. Any other idea.

Personally I'd happily go for option 'C'. :D

We might actually need a chemical toilet next to a Venky takeaway.

You COULD buy it, but what kind of a return would you get on your investment? None. Let them go their merry way, and just laugh at them. He who laughs last, laughs best.

I've joking spoken to a Senior Chartered surveyor, albeit light heartedly, about the site's value..

He considered the Ewood site worthless, unless being used for it's current purpose. The cost of demolition would be far too much, and would wipe out any conceivable profit from redevelopment for either Commercial or Residential purposes..
The training ground at Brockhall is another matter, few buildings and lot's of greenfield, in a very desirable residential location. However, I believe this site has a restrictive covenant relating to it, some thing about any future use being for sporting/recreational purposes only.
