Checkatrade Trophy

Post by dsr » Mon May 08, 2017 4:31 pm

Are we going to enter an under-23 team next year? There could be few better ways to rub it in to Blackburn how far above them we are, if their first team has to play our under 23's in a competitive fixture.

The Venky folk may see winning it as entry to the Champions League?
Not sure.
I could be wrong.

If they made the final they could relive the glory days of seeing a full well maybe half full stadium

If they keep the same format as last season then we wouldn't be able to play in it, only open to Cat 1 academy teams which is why Blackburn's u23s were able to play this season.

But as said, they will be able to play their first team in it now and enjoy an FA Cup 1st round game.
