Paul Lambert
Looks like he msy be resigning at Wolves. Sounds likr we dodged a bullet when linked with him. His antics and career have been poor ever since norwich.
He was the man I wanted to replace Coyle but hes been useless and disruptive for sometime now. Sounds like he just likes pay offs.

Re: Paul Lambert
He's considering leaving because the Wolves owners wants to get Jorge Mendes involved with transfers again. Didn't work last summer. Spent the best part of £30m and they finsihed with the same points tally as the season before. Can understand why he wouldn't be happy and would be thinking about quitting.

Re: Paul Lambert
Hasn't he threatened to quit because Wolves are going to give control of transfers to someone else?

Re: Paul Lambert
You'd think he'd be wary of agents and non football people running clubs by now...

Ever since Fergie retired the Scots managers have gone backwards.

Probably because they are all compared using Fergie as the benchmark.minnieclaret wrote:Ever since Fergie retired the Scots managers have gone backwards.

There aren't many Managers in Europe who are any good using that yardstick.
Re: Paul Lambert
Very good player
Been a bit of a wan-ker as a manager since he used Burnley to bump up his Norwich contract.
I am sure he will get another couple of lucrative managers jobs as gullible chairmen still think he has something to offer. Like Horseface he has made millions on the back of one decent season

That's ludicrous. Coyle was doing a wonderful job in recent times and was was unlucky to get sacked.minnieclaret wrote:Ever since Fergie retired the Scots managers have gone backwards.

Nice to think with his football leaning, not to mention his influence, HRH Charlie could get his mum to give Horserace an MBE or something.
You know, for services rendered.
He started the job, obviously, as always, couldn't finish it in his own right, but underpinned the result ok.

Re: Paul Lambert
Lambert's done alright at Wolves though, hasn't he. He's kept them up.
Re: Paul Lambert
Seems shifty to me. Used Burnley to bump up his contract. Dour with an inflated ego. The bulk of his playing career was played in the Micky mouse league where very average players can look like world beaters.

Other than when he won the Champions League Final, marking Zidane out of the game and setting up the first goal too.Blackrod wrote:Seems shifty to me. Used Burnley to bump up his contract. Ottmar Hitzfeld signed him for Dortmund by the way. He wasn't a bad judge of a player.
