Early days for Tarkowski and it will take time. There is more weight being added to the argument for bringing in a quality centre half to replace Keane and not just for back up.

Ward looks like he's playing through the pain barrier, looked off the pace. I reckon Dyche felt that with two unproven CH's at this level that Flanagan was a definite no no.

Today was nothing that I didn't expect.

Like the look of that Malone at Fulham as a left back.

By all accounts Wardy had a poor game today.
So what. It's only a couple of weeks since we were lauding him as the best left back we've ever had.
The fickleness of fans never ceases to amaze.
If anyone is entitled to an off day it's Ward, so please move on. He's not been 100% for a couple of weeks and people are talking about his replacement already.

Ward in my top three players of the year so if he's had a bad game today, we should cut him some slack.

As for Tarkowski, **** me it's his what 3rd or 4th premier league start. Give him a break too

Can't go off today. Mentally, they were in Ibiza.

So we got caught out a couple of times with a bit of a makeshift defence. My worry was that we offered so little going forward pretty much throughout. Looked like a pre-season game to be honest. I'll forgive it though given the bigger picture. Not worth losing sleep over unless Hull win 10-0 tomorrow....

I've only seen the highlights (on Sky) and wondered if Mee would have been a bit more energetic in both goals conceded and perhaps prevented them?

Long and Tarkowski are similar sort of players.

On the highlights we had a few good opportunities - Arfield was close on two occasions, Barnes was held back from making a killer pass and Vokes was tripped when in a good position, both cynically, and Vokes scored an excellent goal.

I don't think we should underestimate Bournemouth who seem to have recovered from losing Ake (centre half on loan from Chelsea). They've had an excellent season.
