Denmark beat Germany 3-2 in overtime at the World Ice Hockey Championships in overtime on Friday. I almost ran out my front door waving my Danish flag (after I picked myself up after falling off of my couch, er, chesterfield). Any time the Danes get a chance at getting back at The Old Enemy, I'm all in. And, is it really a "World Championship" if Sid the Kid isn't there?

Do they get Schleswig-Holstein back?

Denmark got half of Schleswig (that's the part that's 90% Danish speaking) back in a plebiscite after the First World War. We're still working on the remainder. And Darrington, I have family in Aalborg. My cousin's son is a policeman there, so watch out when you go back. His name is Henrik Larsen, so if you come across him on that famous bar street there (I forget what it's called), say "Hej" for me, before he throws you in the paddy wagon. Also, my mother was born in Frederikshavn, and my grandfather on Norresundby, so you know how close they are to Aalborg. This also makes you a REAL Dane.
