Well I'll stick my neck out and declare Defour will be with us next season. Reasons?
He needs to be playing in a top league (not China) to be considered for international call up. Martinez as said as much.
No premier league team ( or other top flight league team) will risk buying him due to his history of injuries.
He's a couple of years still on his contract.
Last but not least, it's actually a relief to be here after the awful treatment he got from the Standard Liège fans whilst playing for Anderlecht.

I noticed from the TV footage that when Vokes scored Defour was up on his feet in the dugout celebrating. Other players, including Arfield I think, remained seated. I was actually surprised to see it as it's easy to get the impression that he's not arsed. Not that you can read anything into this.
