2 more minutes of applause.
I know people on here hate the minutes applause and feel it has lost it's touch but for one last time (well two) could we all how our appreciation for the Venkys and have a minutes applause on the 18th minute vs WHU and then another one in the 75th minute.
Maybe even a nice message of RIP Rovers on the screen if anyone can areamge it?

its the most pointless of gestures, no spontenaity, its all so false. People often begin, then ask what its about this time. that's not good.

Tony is right (again). It's Hammers vs. Clarets. Leave Woevers out of it.

Applauding shows Clarets are still obsessed by them. Time to forget them altogether! Focus on who we are.

I'd do a 10 minutes applause if they showed Fatty Dunne eating Venkys chicken. Pure tastelessness!!!Belial wrote:I'd give a minutes applause if they brought back balti pies

Silence...Yes. Applause... no hate that gimmick.

Re: 2 more minutes of applause.
The applause thing has been done to death and spoilt as a result. There should be a minutes silence for former players. I can't be there on Sunday but would have liked to have observed one for Peter Noble.

Re: 2 more minutes of applause.
There has to be a minutes silence/applause for Noble. That's something I wouldn't mind happening. Hate the minutes applause for random fans I don't know. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I totally refuse to join in now....although I'm happy if it's once per season on the designated game for it.

Re: 2 more minutes of applause.
Goodness sake we should treat our erstwhile rivals as a quirk of history now, the way they did with us for so long. I'd rather not sully the last game of the season with any memory of them.
As for Peter Noble, well he would require way more than a minutes applause for me, but I'm up for that. Preferably before the game though.

Why do we clap someone's passing ...should be a minutes silence so we can reflect to ourselves of our memories of Uwe.....Bin Ont Turf wrote:Confirmed as a minute's applause.

I'll be outside the Turf to pay my respects. I appreciate that there are a lot of family, friends, colleagues of Uwe going to be at the church and crem so rightly we will be at the Turf. I've heard today, although not confirmed, that the cortege is going to go into the car park to pass his photograph on the wall. What a nice touch that is.
I've got something on site this afternoon with the details for Friday and Sunday. I'm told the family requested the applause ahead of the game.

Re: 2 more minutes of applause.
I have read elsewhere that his family have requested applause and not silence.

Re: 2 more minutes of applause.
I may be wrong, but I'm sure they brought the applause in due to silence not being observed at some fixtures. A continental thing.Steve1956 wrote:Silence...Yes. Applause... no hate that gimmick.
