O/T The Ashes
Read a couple of reports this morning that Australia might not be able to field a full strength team, if any team at all, due to contractual issues with Cricket Australia.
A couple of questions,
1) Would CA actually allow this to happen, bearing in mind the 'importance' of the Ashes on the world cricket stage...??
2) Would it be worth the expense of sending England out there if it wasn't a full strength, competitive team??
Thoughts?

Go out there and smash whatever team they put out. They'd do the same to us.
Would be a shame though if the best players end up not playing due to contract issues like happened to the West Indies.

I'm sure they'll sort it, but we go 100% and win it. The history books won't care next year!

So long as the records show an England win, that's all that matters.
Terrible losers.
Superior Australian whine, made from Aussie sour grapes.

Steve smith said on radio this morning that if it's not settled satisfactorily. They will sign up for all the T20 comps around the world.
Tickets went on sale last week. Most day one tickets sold out straight away. England should just come and smash whatever team the Aussies put out.

Like a lot of other sports these days. This is all about money and greedy players/bosses depending on which stance you take.
Unfortunately, most sports are being ruined by money and drugs. It's just the way of the world now.

Long gone are the days when players (Jaroslav Drobny - 1954) won the men's Wimbledon final and received a voucher to spend at Selfridges for their efforts.
