You're right. I should be more respectful, after all a man has died.

The Sun and its "readers", no doubt, will have a complete ******** today.

Only you could link a thread of this type to your perceived Corbyn bashing, and please don't expand on that. Not on this thread at least.Imploding Turtle wrote:You're right. I should be more respectful, after all a man has died.

Re: Ian Brady
I sort of wish that it hadn't been announced that he'd died. Might have been better if after he'd carked it, they just chucked the body in an unmarked grave somewhere and never said anything. Far less dignified that it being the front page news that he'd have been thrilled to know it would be.

Re: Ian Brady
Apparently he was a psychopath. Isn't that a mental illness? Folk on this board have stated understanding and I assume are capable of compassion for people with such disorders. So the question is where does this understanding end? Evidently when he or she commits multiple heinous acts, but is this just or even rational? Victims of mental afflictions can be very challenging to us. No more so than in this case.
Re: Ian Brady
I am sad that he's dead, in a just World he'd have lived on in crippling pain for years and years to come, even then it wouldn't have brought any comfort to the lives of the families that had their kids murdered then dumped on the moors. Keith Bennett's Mum died not knowing where her son was left, that must have been agonising as a parent to deal with, not only outliving your child but outliving your child in the circumstances that she did.
He and Hindley were a pair of evil *****.

Re: Ian Brady
I heard he stopped eating in order to die in 1999. So he spent 18 years being kept alive against his will. Another 18 years wouldn't be enough. Good riddance.

Re: Ian Brady
In line with ClaretTony's calling our right back at the time Fred West, are we to call our Irish winger Ian Brady?
Or are we in complete agreement that calling Dean West 'Fred' was sick and unfunny?

Re: Ian Brady
I don't know where to start with this guy. I find it hard to believe that someone could be so evil. The sad thing is I am not sure what could have been done to make sure justice was served his crimes were so severe. I just hope and pray that by some sort of divine intevention the little lad is somehow found. Words fail me and I wasn't even around at the time of the crime.

Re: Ian Brady
I think you will find that it was Stan Ternent who gave Dean West the name Fred West. It started at Bury, as quoon said, and all the players called him that, even referring to him as Fred in TV interviews.UpTheBeehole wrote:In line with ClaretTony's calling our right back at the time Fred West, are we to call our Irish winger Ian Brady?

Regardless of who coined the term, are we all in agreement that continuously calling Dean West 'Fred' was sick and unfunny?

I'll meet you halfway - sick but funny. Hows that.

Re: Ian Brady
So calling Robbie Brady Ian Brady would also be sick but funny?
Re: Ian Brady
Because no one on here coined the nickname, and no one on here (or at all to my knowledge) calls Robbie Brady - Ian, I'm struggling to see the relevance.UpTheBeehole wrote:Regardless of who coined the term, are we all in agreement that continuously calling Dean West 'Fred' was sick and unfunny?

I can see where upthebeehole was derived from now. Some people are just sooooo serious.
