Meyler got headbutted by Pardew.

Hes a good squad option i think. Hes not an exciting player and he's realistically bottom third of the Premier League material. But as an alternative holding midfield option to Westwood who is also flexible enough to provide cover in defence i think he might be a really good option for us as a cost effective purchase.

We're going to spend some cash this summer but there will need to be some areas where look to add depth, and flexibility in the squad without spending a fortune so we contemplate our resources on the more eye catching positions where we need upgrades on current personnel. Meyler is the sort of player who can fit that bill.

So in a nutshell, Marco Silva is a great manager, and we'd take any one of Curtis Davies, Robertson, Maguire, Grosicki, Hernandez, Clucas, Meyler

Wasn't Grosicki the bloke who tried to Welsh us at the last minute in a transfer window last year ?
