Tuesday racing
2 00 MAGIC JAZZ 12/1...currently 18 on betfair
Was slowly away on debut and met trouble in running…should be sharper for the experience and is ideally drawn providing
He jumps out ok.
3 30 GERRY THE GLOVER 8/1
2 runs ago made up lots of ground wide at Pontefract…a turning stiff mile seems best for this one so willing
To overlook the ascot run last time.

Re: Tuesday racing
Not a criticism... just an observation.14 consecutive losers sat, sun, and today. And 2 out of three you had doubts about won at short odds yesterday. Thats a pretty poor return for a tipster,or maybe not.
Re: Tuesday racing
Several people of this forum have made quite a few quid off happys tips. Which he has been kind enough to share. Why not leave your disagreement with him over on the cyclists thread.tim_noone wrote:Not a criticism... just an observation.14 consecutive losers sat, sun, and today. Re: Tuesday racing
I backed against you in the 3:30 and ended up with the winner
also had Muckle Roe in the 4:10 (my only two bets so far today) wish I had doubled them up.
Keep them coming Happy as I enjoy your tips and the detailed reasoning you always provide even if it doesn't always work out.

Re: Tuesday racing
It all depends on the kind of tips you give or follow.
There are very few who put up double figure tips, there are plenty around online who will go booooooooom on tipping an 11/10 fav against a crap field.
Things to remember when looking at other peoples tips on here are that nobody is forced to back anything, nobody is charged for the information given and you can still decide after this if you agree or disagree with the horse put up to back it.
Long term you will lost a lot lot more money backing short priced favs than you ever will on larger priced ones.

Re: Tuesday racing
The other week I combined Happy's tips with my own research, and had a very good day indeed. I disagreed with a couple of his horses, and ended up plumping for what happened to be the favourites in each. It was his spotting of value which made the betting day as a whole work though.

If that's "not a criticism" I wouldn't like to see one that is !tim_noone wrote:Not a criticism... just an observation.14 consecutive losers sat, sun, and today. And 2 out of three you had doubts about won at short odds yesterday. Thats a pretty poor return for a tipster,or maybe not.
Be careful what you wish for as Happy will just stop posting the thread if he gets more "observations" like yours

Re: Tuesday racing
just in from golf
first one had everything in his favour today...finished 5th,,,took 18s...not good enough...worth chancing at the odds.
2nd one should have won...jockey gave that a bad ride...I was on each way at 9/1.
I am not going to disect every race....unfortunately tim your knowledge on many subjects appear to be limited to say the least
the lays yesterday were given for sound reasons
one was soundly beaten and unplaced
one won when the 2nd fav in the race was short of room and made up 12 lengths to get 2nd....both of these
2 are way ahead of their handicap marks
the last one won in a tight photo and did something the sire has never done before
a losing run of 14 is absolutely nothing when playing at the prices I do....
a few years ago the best tipster going posted 19 straight losers at 2/1 or less.
you need to read up on chaos factor....you may learn something tim ( but somehow I doubt it )
probably better keeping your idiotic views to yourself.
I am using this messageboard as an easy way to let people benefit from my work
if you keep posting your rubbish I am going to have to rethink.
if someone wants to question a bet or lay before hand then fair enough...not a problem
but if you want to aftertime like you continually do tim then sorry...you are just an idiot.
I posted 83 percent profit on first lot of results and more than 100 percent on 2nd lot of results.
this was my reply to your last stupid statement.
If you are not managing to profit from these selections tim I would just give it up as a bad job....the best tipster in the business is Hugh Taylor in my opinion...his tips are free daily on the atr website...he tips a horse at 10/1 and that is the price that goes on the account...that price is never available...best scenario, you might get 7/1....his profit on turnover every season around the 35 percent mark....but realistically that is much much lower...probaly 15 percent.
these results below were all available at the prices indicated and produced 8s percent profit on turnover....so in other words if your total stakes on the selections were 500 quid then you returned 915 quid.
won 5/1
w 6/1
lost 7/4
lost 13/8
lost 11/10
won 7/4
lost 20/1
lost 3/1
won 6/4
lost 9/2
lost 11/4
lost 2/1
lost 12/1
lost 2/1
won 6/1
lost 10/1
won 5/1
(lay lost so profit laid 2.4) won 2 points
lost 10/1
lost 8/1
won 12/1
lost 5/1
lost 10/1
lost 9/2
( lay lost so profit laid 2.5) won 2 points
lost 11/1
lost 8/1
lost 7/1
lost 8/1
(lay lost so profit laid @ 2)
lost 8/1
won 2/1
lost 14/1
lost 4/1
lost 8/1
2nd 20/1 stakes returned
won 8/1
lost 8/1
lost 11/2
lost 14/1
( lay lost so profit laid @ 3) won 1 point
lost 5/1
tiny loss if selections backed ew 123456 as I did....10 points staked 9 returned.
won 12/1
lost 4/1
2nd 16/1 won stakes returned
lost 9/2
((lay lost so profit laid 2.3) won 2 points
lost 7/2
lost 3/1
won 11/1
( place lay lost so profit laid 1.76 ) won 3 points
45 bets
81.25 returned
11 winners...6/4...7/4...2/1...5/1...5/1...6/1...6/1...8/1...11/1...12/1...12/1...
6 profitable lays returned 12 points
51 bets or lays
93.25 points returned
83 percent profit on turnover (pot)
longest losing un 8 selections ( counting win bets only...not lays )
at the prices I play at I would expect much longer losing runs than this long term.
note that ew selections placing settled as only stakes returned....If they are big prices
and only playing 1 horse in a race I bet to return stakes as an insurance.
also note that many of the winners will have been traded off in running
and many of the losers protected in running.
the figures above are not a realistic picture of returns but every service out there uses these figures
since those results the sequence has been ( not including 2 of the 3 winners at thirsk last week which were selections for a lad going to the races only but they were backed by several forumites regardless )
losing lay minus 2 points
11/8 winner
11/8 and 11/4 winning ew double around 10/1 winner
6/1 loser
12/1 loser
7/1 winner
6/1 winner
2/1 winner
6/1 place
7/1 place
11/1 place
5/1 loser
9/2 loser
16/1 and 14/1 loser
8/1 loser
7/1 winner
7/2 loser
7/1 loser
7/1 loser
12/1 loser
3 point losing lay
12/1 loser
12/1 loser
16/1 winner
11/8 loser
8/1 loser
winning lay 2 point profit
7/2 loser
16/1 loser
so this 2nd set of results has had 28 selections returning 58.375 points which is better than doubling your money...more than 100 percent on turnover
this game aint for you tim if you havnt made a profit and your staking must be nuts....also...you have never shown up on a thread on a good day have you...strange that...plenty of forumites seem to have got the hang of things though...its simple really...get best price...make the singles pay and dont tie up too much of your money in multiples....there will be days where I really like 4 or 5 at 10/1 or less and suggest a lucky 15 etc but most days its a case of carving out a profit on the singles.
most punters harp on about winning or losing days...I am way way past that...if you try and profit on a day you will end up chasing...thats a recipe for disaster...my aim is to beat sp on a regular basis...do that and you will win...dont and you will lose.
.............................
so you might want to comment before a race or not at all Tim because you are making yourself look foolish.

Ignore the doubters happy.
You give the reasons why you think they will win so it's the persons choice if they back them or not.

Regards your last post I have turned up on good or bad day. Friday .and sided with you and thanked you. Your calling all and sundry d!cks knobs !diots Fu..ing wan!er your bragging how petrified someone looked while throttling him doesn't sit comfortable with me.and then saying you would do it to me? I find it just a little chavvy coming from a business man .No problems regards anything racing. Just an observation that 14 had lost on the bounce. No criticism wotsoever.

lets agree to disagree tim....I do take exception to people trying to kill me and for me any bloke worth his salt would do...if I walked along the road pushing pedestians into the road I would get locked up....anyway I really couldnt care less what you think...in fact I would be concerned if I agreed with you about anything...just to be clear...you have demonstrated over and over that you are lacking....just stay out of my way eh......................for those that got the email about the sprinter the other week...check out the 7 55 tomorrow...take the price ew....will expand in tomorrows message.

What makes them 'professional'? That Ben Lightfoot is unbelievably bad.
As for happy, I think he's proved over a number of years that he knows his stuff.

Well said Happy - it's a personal choice what to bet on and your advice is more than fine for me. Some days I'll place a bet based on your knowledge and some days I won't place a bet at all.
I've missed some winners and I've missed some loses, but overall in profit.
Like I say, a personal choice - the doubters should just ignore your posts
Keep up the good work and looking forward to the sprinter tomorrow

Re: Tuesday racing
I am hoping babyfact does the business for us tomorrow...drawn 4 looks good and when I watched this fillies wins the best ride she got was from josephine Gordon who saved a bit before delivering her challenge....she rides tomorrow....not sure if all the 8/1 has gone yet but there will be some 7/1 for sure...looking at york now...there should be a draw bias there tomorrow so hoping to land on the right strip of ground....generally the 5f races are won by centrally drawn horses with central to low being best....just very occasionally the straight course bias is high so Central is where I will be looking.
I am hoping dog will be posting his golf tips as well...I got 12/1 for his top 20 pick last week (smiley kaufman)
hoping to try and get more of his info on here....utc.
