Joey Barton
Any chance of JB being at the Turf on Sunday?
Don't want to forget his contribution to this successful season.

I wouldn't bet on it.
He might though!

Unless he retires, I don't think he's even allowed in the stadium is he?

They can't stop him entering the stadium with a ticket.

Joey told me he will be there, even if he has to go in drag using the name Ethel!

He'll be wearing a flat cap and dressed as a steward sitting at the back of the stand.

Re: Joey Barton
All football related activities. Does that mean paid activities, for example, would he be banned from coaching his local junior side?
I'd hope that there is no issue with him being there on Sunday and hope that he is there.

If you get a football banning order in this country you're not even allowed to watch your mates play on the Praire.FulledgeClaret wrote:They can't stop him entering the stadium with a ticket.

Can't imagine the police raiding Sunday league playing fields to check for those on banning orders!

Re: Joey Barton
It does mean he's banned from coaching his local junior side and I think it will also ensure he won't be there on Sunday. I assume he can buy tickets for football games to go and watch but that's about it.DCWat wrote:All football related activities. Re: Joey Barton
It'd be quite a shame if he can't be there for the final game of a successful season that he has contributed greatly to.
However, I don't think Barton is too much of a sentimental man.

Re: Joey Barton
If he can't be there in person it would bring the house down if he sent pre-recorded message that could be broadcast on the big screen.

Re: Joey Barton
It would be ridiculous not to mention probably illegal to ban him from the ground. I hope he is there as he has played a massive part in our success over the last two years.

Re: Joey Barton
If he is going as Ethel Tower, why would he need a ticket, surely he would only need to stand behind the Bob Lord!LoveCurryPies wrote:Joey told me he will be there, even if he has to go in drag using the name Ethel!

Re: Joey Barton
Maybe not, but if the referee or member of the public had cause to ring them then they would be charged with breach of the banning order.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Can't imagine the police raiding Sunday league playing fields to check for those on banning orders!
Re: Joey Barton
And what will happen to him? They have ended his career so there isn't much else they can do to him.
Re: Joey Barton
And it does seem there are one or two people around who like to "drop people in it" when it suits them or so it seems from this season. (Thinking of Andre and Joey as just two)

Re: Joey Barton
They can ban him for longer - at the moment, Barton isn't allowed to enter a football stadium or train with a football team. I don't think he can do any media work within the football industry either. So it'll be in his best interests really to keep a low profile, get ready to come back to work, as a coach, lower league player or whatever...Commy wrote:And what will happen to him? Re: Joey Barton
Based solely on this, he could in theory come into the ground at the final whistle:
