Both finals will be aired on YouTube, Freeview & BT's website / app.

That's a bit of a result :)

Bit of a result? Before BT it was free to watch on terrestrial television as were a lot of the games during the season.

Yes they were, so the fact the finals are free to watch is as I stated a bit of a result.

I preferred the olden days when CL football was free to watch.

I prefer the old days when it was the European Cup. One country, one team.
Before the Big Boys turned it into their own mini-league cash cow. :(

You can't whinge about football being off terrestrial TV when we are going to be making over £100 million pounds out of it.

I prefer when football wasn't / isn't presented by Gary Lineker.

Luckily sportsmania has helped avoid his smug style all season.

double edged sword thesedays, we benefit from big money pouring in to Burnley by virtue of being in the top league, but the source is grubby.
I have never had sky for example, its all a big gloopy pool of betting, adverts, horrendous presentation, hand in hand with gambling companies too.
There's no room for principles as a fan anymore, its like it or lump it.
Naturally I want Burnley to succeed, but you do begin to wonder sometimes where is it all going.
I used to detest the fact that money was so vital in the modern era. Hated it when walkers millions suddenly elevated a rather lumpen rovers club into premier league winners in next to no time.
I hear a lot in the media about how important european qualifications are, but don't tend to come across many football fans who seem to care for it to much. A handfull seem clued up on Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but its not convincing.
United seem to be rolling in money , incredible foreign interest in them and their merchandise, but its hyped up to buggery.
The team are mediocre at best and have been for ages.
At least they had some genuine european pedigree though with the wins in the 60's and 90's.
I certainly havent rushed home to watch european football, these tv companies are intent on getting a piece of the action at great expense, so I can only assume its me that is out of step, and there is a huge appetite for it out there somewhere.

Without TV money there's no way we could compete in the top division. It's made gate receipts and commercial operations at the lower end of the league much less relevant.

Loved it when I was a kid. Always played on the Wednesday evening after the FA Cup Final. Another chance to sit around the 'telly' with my dad and brothers and watch a live game. First one I recall was the incredible Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt game of 1960 played at Hampden Park in front of over 130,000 with Real Madrid winning 7-3. Following year it sadly wasn't us but the emergence of Benfica who came from behind to beat Barcelona 3-2. Wonderful memories.

I preferred the good old days when there were only 12 professional clubs.
