Owls v Terriers
32 000 expected at hillsborough tonight....I remember going there back in the 80s in the cup...was it 5-0 in the end...over 40 000 on....got to be a tough game for huddersfield tonight but can the home team handle the pressure?
Re: Owls v Terriers
I hope Huddersfield get promoted, because it's an historic derby between us and them.

The home crowd were awesome that night - and yes, it was 5-0.happyclaret17 wrote:32 000 expected at hillsborough tonight....I remember going there back in the 80s in the cup...was it 5-0 in the end...over 40 000 on....got to be a tough game for huddersfield tonight but can the home team handle the pressure?

I also hope its them as my solicitor will invite me over for the game for some posh nosh as he is a huddersfield fan.
Re: Owls v Terriers
exciting times for those fans, and we have nothing to be excited about just now, having accomplished Mission Impossible weeks ago. So next exciting thing (for me anyway) is looking forward to the transfer market, the madness that it is
So will be a North South match for the biggest money game of all time, well according to the media!

The five nil drubbing was a shock if only Taylor (?) had of scored a penalty or was it a sitter at the Turf he missed. I remember the SWFC singing almost rattling the railings

So will Weds. Boro situation after promotion, current team not good enough so you're gambling on new signings coming together as a team.Diesel wrote:Huddersfield will go straight back down if they go up, so them please.
Highly unlikely, especially if Pardew gets the gig.

Reading beat Sheff Weds home and away, Huddersfield won 1-0 at home and lost 1-0 away
I hope Huddersfield can do it as Reading have just been taken over by some Chinese folks and Sheff Weds are owned by some rich bloke from Thailand

Ross Wallace off injured after 5 minutes. Real shame for him, he looked gutted.

Re: Owls v Terriers
Yes, it was a penalty, given after the keeper upended Trevor Steven in the box. Awful spot kick though by Taylor and a VERY costly miss. The replay was a huge crowd, but a hell of a lot were Clarets as well as Wednesday. I remember going to Carlisle away shortly after on semi final day and we played in front of a few thousand and it felt absolutely dreadful. It really rubbed it in because we could so easily have been playing the semi instead.halfmanhalfbiscuit wrote:It was a penalty.

Blatant penalty for Huddersfield not given. Timid refereeing.

Pointless dig at a player who helped us win the league and win promotion.

Regular starter with us. Maybe Sheff Wed wouldn't be relying on the play offs if he'd played more often.Right_winger wrote:It's ok David Jones will save the day for Wednesday...

Re: Owls v Terriers
The commentator has just been going on about how fit the Town players are, Wagner's training methods and how it's a European thing.
Bloody clueless, and that's why Dyche goes on about foreign managers being seen as revolutionary.
