Sorry I can't be with you to pay respect to a fantastic club servant and legend.
He'll be in my thoughts. RIP Uwe.

I'm comfortable with this one. Let's give the lad the ovation he deserves.

He'd be over the moon with the applause rather than a somber silence!

Sing the name loud and proud

Peter did many award night presentations for me as well as special offers on his stall. Always went out of his way to talk to me whenever he saw me, in fact the last time I saw him was at Tesco up Brunshaw on my way to an Aunts funeral he looked well. Very sad to know he has gone. I can remember being on the turf when we were playing Swindon away and hearing he had scored against us, if my memory serves me. I was delighted when he joined us. He has always had my respect as a man, a friend and a claret legend

And another claret from the seventies...and not forgetting the sixties who stayed in the area. Phil malley an exception maybe of recent clarets still here?

On a personal note I'd have preferred a minute's silence which I think is the most respectful thing to do, but the family were asked and said they preferred applause. Will be very sad tomorrow as he goes past the Turf for the last time.

He would of wanted the applause mate.

I do however understand what your saying.

Yes this, but seemingly it's for any bugger who dies nowadays which gets boring.

It's special circumstances this time and is a celebration of Noble's life, which for us fans means a great footballer and a cracking fella.
