Uwe in pictures

Post by minnieclaret » Fri May 19, 2017 9:52 am

On the day of his tragically early funeral a few memories of Uwe.
All stolen from match day programmes.

This is Jimmy Adamsons programme notes following his home debut in the fantastic win against Chelsea.

At leisure. Bowling here but he used to come, with Fletcher, Collins,Waldron, Kindon playing tennis in Loveclough Park. I could stand at the back door and watch.

Blackrod, are the pictures opening for you? They are not for me and I was just converting them all to JPG format.

I've repeated them as the TIF photos weren't opening.

Thanks to CT for informing me that he injured himself in the taking of this pen and was out for two months.

As I like to think he should be remembered. A TEAM MAN. The sort who would have played for free for a game of football.
RIP Peter Noble.

Superb. I vividly remember the one of him lifting the Anglo Scottish cup. And i think his daughter Nicola was a year younger than me at Walton High in Nelson. Loved being served at his stall and listening to his football chat. Thoughts very much with his family on this saddest of days for them. One of our very best. RIP Uwe
