Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
They can, is that in the manifesto though?
Its on the table, we are all looking at it. There is no other reason to mention it otherwise.

If you are going to go all Daily Mail, then I'm going back to watching an old bloke make a fool of himself on bbcqt Damo!
Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
I don't know if it's their manifesto because I've onlynread the key messages in the media. But I'd put my house on it that deferred payments will be extended because it would be impossible not to.
I don't understand your 'it's on the table' comment.
Edit: yes it's in their manifesto...
Third, we will extend the current freedom to defer payments for residential care to those
receiving care at home, so no-one will have to sell their home in their lifetime to pay for care.

Who is going to provide all the care at home?
Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
The same people who do now. The policy changes aren't going to change the supply and demand for care at home. The market is unstable but that's a separate issue.

Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
But there is a growing shortgage of care workers. More people with illnesses staying at home and less care workers doesn't add up.
Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
I don't disagree but it's a separate issue to the policy change. The problem exists now and it's basic - low wages when you consider the work they have to do, which leads to major challenges in the labour market, particularly recruitment and retention of care staff

Ditto the Lib Dem one.
Has the Tory manifesto been costed at all?Damo wrote:The only issue is quite a large one though
Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
I think the Tories are counting on their reputation for fiscal nous, rightly or wrongly.
Have manifestos been costed in the past?

Can't blame this woman for telling the truth. She would be a traitor to her country, if she sided with labour and Corbyn.
She is only trying to point the floaters and the people who have no interest in the right direction.
Let's face it a vote for labour would be a vote for economical and social ruin for our country

I bet he's feeling a right tit after that.
So when you get old, if you die of cancer you can be treated free, and pass on your house to your children, but if you get dementia you have to pay for your care, and your children can share the last £100K?

Calling your political opponents traitors to the country, really?
Looks like you've swallowed the media's portrayal of Labour's pledges being 'far left' hook, line and sinker my friend. Slightly left of centre yes, mad commies no.

Not that you're showing your bias at all.cblantfanclub wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment ... 14?SThisFB
BBC right wing bias again.
You probably just forgot to mention that the ruling included that there was 'no evidence of bias' and the report was 'compiled in good faith'.
Still, it made you happy to mention it. That's what matters.

Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
Suggest people look at it for themselves and make a judgement as to if it's acceptable to edit an interview with a different answer to the one that was actually given to the question.
And yes I think it should be mentioned just like Robinsons radio interview I posted a link to earlier on this thread.

Re: The left-wing bias of the BBC
Yes, but you are a socialist engineer, fixing cameras and sound systems that journalists and reporters use to educate the masses. It matters Jack sh!t what your views are, it's the reporters, presenters and managers that matter, so don't confuse your bias with the actuality.Woodleyclaret wrote:I applied for a post in the engineering dept at the BBC.
This consisted of 3hr technical interview and 3hr political interview.
This was to weedle out any bias left wing or otherwise
The nonsense at BBC bias is fuelled by the Tory press and it's followers

Only rich Tories will be protected. Because they can work the system.
