Feel free to delete this thread if it's a duplicate. I've searched for the topic but can't see that anyone else has put anything up on here yet.
Jason Lowe, Adam Henley, Wes Brown, Gordon Greer, Joshua Askew, Hope Akpan, Danny Guthrie and Ramirez Howarth are being released.
So that's 8 on top of the loanee's who've returned to their parent clubs. Exactly how many players will they have when pre-season starts up again

15 players left, with others expected to leave such as Danny Graham who's wages are to rich for league 1.

More important is the Venkys retained list, which still includes Rovers.

I'd expect a few more to go, they need to get their wage bill right down, I'd expect a self imposed cap of a couple of grand a week at most.
The good thing is, even if they decided to ignore all the football league financial rules and get promoted back to the championship, they can't escape any punishment

Titanic + Iceberg + band playing (while the deck chairs are being rearranged) = a whole lot of brown stuff.
Absolute Karma.

15 out and only one in.
To be fair the one in is decent quality - South Korean international Lee Gwon.

Close your eyes and go back in time, just a few years, 5, 6, or 7 will do.
Could you have imagined then just what a sorry state Rovers would be in now?!
Oh Venkys, we love you SO VERY MUCH

What goes round comes round; just hope it is a long long time before roles reverse but as we know to our cost it doesn't take long to go into free fall.
In just 11 years we went from top league to almost no league and 9 from top to bottom. Portsmouth did it in 4 seasons, Blackpool in 5 Wimbledon, MK in 6.

Tom Hoban
Stephen Hendrie
Jack Byrne
Martin Samuelson
Marvin Emnes
Lucas Joao
Sam Gallagher
All on loan and are due to return to their parent clubs.
Add
Danny Graham
Jason Steele
Charlie Mulgrew
To the above loans/released lists and they've certainly no forwards and barely a enough to play 5 a side in training!
Ha ha ha I Fooooking love it

You missed off 'the tea lady' or is she out 'on loan'?

I dislike Rovers as much as the next man. indeed I would like them to be liquidated and reform in the Blackburn Combination as AFC Blackburn or maybe Son of a Bitch would be a better name, however I think it is premature to write them off just yet. They may only have 15 players but they have the basis of a decent League One squad. They have two decent keepers, Raya and Steele, plus Williams Mulgrew Ward Lenighan and Wyambe in defence, Evans Bennet Feeney Conway in the middle and Graham and nutjob Stokes up front. With a few free transfers, loans and Academy products they could have a fairly decent squad.
We have to hope that financial pressure will force them to offload Graham in particular, along with Mulgrew, Conway and Evans who are probably Championship level and on big dosh. Also Mowbray did a great job transforming a bunch of losers into a credible but Agent Coyle had done just enough to ensure the drop. We need Mowbray to quit and Dunny to take over.

Better than the one I wrote out.
The tea lady got "bagged" off ages ago, but she did get a sweetener...

It looks like they're going to have to rely on their youngest players to survive in League One. Is that correct?
I still remember the LOL (League One Leeds)...
In a few years we may have ROFL: Rovers Out of the Football League.

There are some decent sides in league one who are used to the league and will take great pride in dispatching Bsards as they did Coventry who have a larger fan base etc. Tough tough league as we know or should I say knew

Mowbray is still seeking assurances regarding staff, budgets etc etc .. He played a blinder taking them down and
coming out of it with his reputation enhanced ... If a job comes up elsewhere i think he'll be gone .. Fat Dunny to take them to League 2 ??

Don't waste any sympathy on those motherf****rs, Ian. Like barton's baggage says,
they rubbed it in, and a lot worse. Every Rovers fan I knew was praying we lost the Orient game.
They knew it would probably mean oblivion.
So I wish them everything they wished us. (And a bit more for interest.)

Mowbray whatever have you done?
You've taken B@stards to Division One.
Promotion's you aim but you will fail,
And your biggest game will be Rochdale.
