Friday racing

Post by happyclaret17 » Thu Jun 01, 2017 11:35 pm

Better racing today and notebook a lot busier.
2 35 MUKARAKEZ 8/1
Was a horse I tipped last time and basically threw it away after trading 1.3 in running
He is a perfect fit for this race trends wise and the quirky track may help the horse
To keep focused.

3 00 GLYDER 7/2
Had a really bad draw last time at redcar and beat his side of draw by a long way…
A sure sign of a well handicapped horse.

3 45 BROROCCO 5/1
Another one I tipped 2 runs back when winning and another perfect fit trends wise…
Any rain would be a plus but good ground ok.

4 10 BINT ARCANO 4/1
Has made my notebook twice, including an unlucky run over course and distance…
Possibly significant coming back to track.

5 50 BLACK TRILBY 4/1
Has been campaigned with handicaps in mind and bumped into a well handicapped
Horse last time when both went clear…another ideal trend pick for race.

6 50 ROSEALEE 9/1
Our old friend babyfact runs in this but I don’t like the gap from last race….dont like the 1 draw
And don’t like the fact this isn’t fillies only…..the bet however has made my notebook a couple
Of times and has ideal conditions….utc.

Lucky 15 on first 4. And a couple of singles on other 2.

tough question cutsy at this stage without knowing exact ground
personally I wouldnt go further than ew doubles and trebles with a small ew all ew roll up ( just in case )
my bets are pretty much all singles...best bet is to let market be your guide...look at betfair prices and compare to best price with bookies on oddschecker
if betfair price is same or less than best bookies price then there is every chance that it is fancied....good luck all.

may not be about later...will try to get tomorrows message on by 1 tomorrow....if ground is good or softer tomorrow I will post a bet for tomorrow later today....bookies price up around 4-30 so will be around that time once I know ground and prices....

lumped on De Bruyne Horse pal. What a horse that is...

To say it came off the back of a 7 LENGTH win in its last, i had no doubt in my mind

I know the basics of betting and bet types i.e. single e/w Trixie lucky 15 etc but can someone break down how an e/w double or treble is worked/paid out pls

for an e/w bet there is two parts - the win part and the placed part. The place part is dependent on how many horses are in the race for whether it is in first 3 or 4. It will usually tell you. Then depending on whether it is a handicap race (maybe happy or cutsy will be more up on this) or not and the amount of entrants you will either get a 1/4 of the odds or a 1/5 of the odds. This are just added up in the say way as an accumulator bet - Horse 1 odds x Horse 2 odds x Horse 3 odds. So if the horses were 8/1 at 1/4 of the odds and 8/1 at 1/5 odds you would work out as such as £10 x 2/1 then this £30 (your original stake plus the winnings) x 1.6/1 = £78 giving you £68 profit.

Made it look easy. Still amazes me when you see how high the hill on the straight is when viewing head on. From the side camera doesn't look much but when viewed head on unbelievable how much effort is actually needed to get up

Watch this. All my Epson tipped horses on the other thread win in an accumulator without me backing them

Well worth getting the ITV racing app. Days like today when decent cards and on ITV get 7 races to back on, obvs hard to get them all but £50k if you do. Otherwise I used to find myself thinking well I really fancy that and that but less so that and ended up putting on more doubles trebles L15s just to accommodate them and my views on their chances. Whereas that if I was ever right and they all came in it costs nothing to enter and you get 50k. If they don't I have saved myself a fortune in squeezing them all into bets which I think have good chance of winning me some money (never works out on good racing days like today, Annie Power is to blame for costing me 30k)

Last week I was happy with my ante post for the Oaks of Coronet at 33s placed in October when backed into 7s, if it carries on drifting today as it is I might get 33s todays.

the horse I liked tomorrow runs in the 5 15...GREEN LIGHT....12/1
unfortunately the ground as I speak is still g/f so I wont be backing unless we get significant rain between now and then....I would risk a bet with good ground at the price but not on current g/f.
he won this race last season when ground was soft and he needs this type of quirky track and some cut....looks like he has been laid out for the race but unless they water heavily or it rains its no bet for me.

I am sure hugh taylor reads uptheclarets..lol.definitely NOT backing the horse now...no significant rain...and price gone ....costs nothing to watch...like last Saturday I am not liking much at this stage...todays thread likely to be as late as 2 oclock but it wont be a busy day for me....I think the derby could be hugely affected by the draw today....the 2 I think are worth a small bet ew are CAPRI and VENICE BEACH....not that I like them that much but they are drawn well....sired by galileo...trained by o brien...and sky bet are going ew 12345 so that's where to have your bets...1 place and no harm done.

only other bet so far
1 55 DONC...SPIRITOFTOMINTOUL EW 14/1
Donny had plenty of rain last night and this had a knee action...no chance on the ground at goodwood last time and previous run was staying on over 2f shorter on this course....I have backed ew 1234.

nothing for me today as only jumps racing

horses with knee actions bend their knees when running and usually best suited to softer ground...there are an odd exception but they usually get outpaced on faster ground.
