Four candles

Post by RingoMcCartney » Wed Jun 07, 2017 12:11 pm

There's a memorial service today for Ronnie Corbett.

They'll be 4 candles on the alter!

Touching but still making me smile at the same time.....

Memorial services generally take place up to a year after the funeral.

So are you just saying let's not have a memorial?

How important is it to you?

Wouldn't it be nice to know why this specific date? What if there's an additional reason we're missing?

I've no idea what point you're trying to make, or why trying to understand the reasoning behind a certain date for a memorial is so objectionable.

Quality. From 2 national treasures.

The sketch should be made part of the school curriculum!

I liked Rob Brydons speech. I would imagine that walking down the street with Ronnie Corbett you would just be confronted with a sea of smiling faces.

Crossed lines
Mastermind
Crossword
Swedish made easy
Hieroglyphics
Gin n tonic

There's half a dozen classics for a starter. For me, THE best comedy double of all time.

Was just reading the biography of the Two Ronnies, by Corbett. The final chapter was all about Ronnie B's funeral. A very touching and funny book about two very funny men.

You missed the Optician sketch. Split my sides.
And of course all those naff jokes from his chair but the lead ups were hilarious.
Loved the one about being ship wrecked after he got up and left the transatlantic flight because he had seen the inflight movie before

I've just watched the Two Ronnies' Mastermind sketch followed by Morecambe and Wise's followed by some Tommy Cooper sketches followed by lots of clips of Bradley Walsh wetting himself in various editions of The Chase. Another half an hour gone....
Damn you, youtube !
