Could mean more changes or different kick off times, especially as the Saturday 3pm kick will still be a no go for televised games.

The Football League is possibly going to move away from Sky too, in an effort to get a better deal elsewhere.

Good luck to the Football League. Hope they get a better deal away from those greedy bastards Sky.

The football league are probably going to become broadcasters. They've already launched a foreign streaming service.

Like the government mandate splitting the premier league rights to two bidders... you'll just end up paying twice to see what you had in one package before.

It's not like Sky's gonna get any cheaper...

I remember laughing at Gartside's idea of a PL 2, which he mentioned the closer Bolton got to the drop.

Could happen if the League get a good deal.

It's done that before with ITV Digital. I wouldn't back that league to come up with anything better with Shaun Harvey running it.

Can't see many liking a Sunday morning kick-off for Asian TV audiences - mainly be Liverpool, Chelsea and United matches I would think - how much power will these clubs wield to make sure that they are home games for them

Glad I left Sky. Surprised others aren't leaving in droves.

Sunday 11.30 am kick off time proposed.

Post by bfcjg » Sat Jun 10, 2017 9:13 am

Reports today suggesting more Sunday games to kick off at this time as it is more attractive to the growing tv market in Asia.
I don't think there's much point protesting as the club owners are based abroad and reduced gate money is more then compensated for by tv rights.
There will definately be Man U etc home games played in Beijing and other such places within ten years IMHO.

I wonder what time the Princess Royal would open for a 11am kick off on a Sunday morning.

......., they are split evenly between the 20 clubs and each team banked £39million this season.
But as former Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre memorably pointed out in 2011, there are not many Bolton fans in Kuala Lumpur and the Premier League's biggest clubs would love to be able to copy Barcelona and Real Madrid in negotiating their own foreign deals.......

That's the bit the Big City lot will be working out how to achieve.
It would be in the best interests of our 'National Side's though. (Somehow).
