Serbia v Wales

Post by claretblue » Sun Jun 11, 2017 6:56 pm

only one Claret for this un! :o

Vokes starts for his 50th cap

Wales have never beaten Serbia in an international, losing four of five contests (including games against Serbia & Montenegro in 2003).

Wales doing well. They need and look to have got a strong referee. I much prefer the co-commentary from Barry Horne to that of Ray Houghton.

UTC!

When Ramsey took the penalty, no fewer than 14 of the other 19 outfield players were encroaching - seems as though Fifa have got a grip of that.

Can be unplayable at times. I think, from the conversations I've had with people, that IF we play to his strengths, we have a 15+ a season striker there. From what I can gather, they don't feel we do that enough. I sort of agree.

We need someone who can put a good cross into the box, because, unfortunately Boyd and Arfield can't.

I only saw the second half but Vokes looked knackered and in need of a rest.

He could have done better with his header from a corner that just went over the bar.

Not a bad result in isolation, but a win was needed really.
