Vossen was sold for what we bought him from. Of the other players you mentioned some of them have not left the club yet ! But let's go along with your game and say they have all left for a total of say £2m (we know we got £1m for Juke)....I reckon that's a total loss on the rest of tops £10m....UpTheBeehole wrote:We haven't consistently done that at all. We've sold a handful of players for profit.
What profit did we make on Bikey? Cort? Treacy? Vossen? Hennings? McDonald? Jutkiewicz? Boyd? Kightly? Sordell? Porter? O'Neill? Stanislas?
Profits from players off top of my head
Ings - £6m
Fletcher - £4m
Jones - £2.5m
Tripps - £3m
Shackell - £2m
Rodriguez - £7m
Austin - £3m
Eagles & Mears - £3m
Keane - let's say minimum £10m profit
You can do back further to the likes of Gray, Akinbyi, Wayne Thomas and many more.
You also seem to conveniently forget that players like kightly gave us good service and played key roles in promotion seasons for a small fee...and we bought players like that at the back end of their career not to make money but to add experience to our squad.
To say we have not done consistently well in the transfer market in the last 10 or 15 years is ridiculous - and also a bit embarrassing (or just plain ignorant)
