I know, goodness knows how Barnes missed that open goal in the first half.box_of_frogs wrote:Did you go to Sunderland away? It was appalling. How we drew I'll never know.
All linked, none signed.

We got a point which helped us stay up that's all I need to know. Maybe if we'd got beat 4.3 you might have been more satisfied.box_of_frogs wrote: Did you go to Sunderland away? It was appalling. How we drew I'll never know.
What were you expecting last season one touch football and a challenge for Europe?
Re: All linked, none signed.
Not that I agree with the other posters post but momentum definitely exists. You're crazy if you think otherwise. Some of the craziest comebacks in history (Liverpool v Milan) momentum absolutely exists.Tall Paul wrote:Momentum (as you mean it) in football doesn't exist.

Which is why I included the part in brackets, as he meant it, ie carrying over from one game to the next.KRBFC wrote:Not that I agree with the other posters post but momentum definitely exists. You were expecting a thriller between bottom of the table Sunderland and Burnley?box_of_frogs wrote:Nope, I was expecting football, not crapball.

Re: All linked, none signed.
Did we manage to sign anyone prior to the second game against Liverpool ? The atmosphere that day was electric..and the ground was rocking.and we got 3 points.ashtonlongsider wrote:The atmosphere at the first home game last season against Swansea was very flat. I thought it would have been bouncing. I can only attribute it in part to the lack of signings that 'give that feel good factor'. That game cost us 3 points against relegation rivals and heaven forbid if we'd gone down that would, IMO have been a major contributory factor. I appreciate it's not easy but it's always better to do transfer activity early.

Just saying.
No doubt you'll correct me again, but I'm sure that negotiations can take place from June 9th but players can't sign on the dotted line until July 1st.[/quote]
Players can sign on the dotted line right now - but the contract won't start until tomorrow.

A thriller? No. Something better than I could watch on Townley Park on a Sunday. Yes.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:You were expecting a thriller between bottom of the table Sunderland and Burnley?
Having had the pleasure of a 600 mile round trip to watch that turgid shite, yes, I wish it had been better.....

That's not true at all - that only applies to players coming out of contract.

And I thought that was the club's intention this windowSteddyman wrote:We should be strengthening, not just replacing like for like if a player decides to leave us.
