Have to say we have done that business really well. It must have been going on for weeks but it is only in the past couple of days it's become public knowledge in the last two days or so.

Excellent signing: absolutely excellent!

Whilst over the water, The Clarets will head to Cork to pop the cork for Cork's inauguration (no corkscrew needed).

Great Deal

I just hope the player he is tackling in the first pic of the linked article lines up alongside him. That will give lots of bite that some prima dona teams will fear

It's undisclosed as they all are but I believe it can rise to £10 million - not sure on the lower guaranteed payment though.

Fantastic signing so pleased to see Jack a claret once again. Well done CT with the article posted on cue.

When Jack is uncorked I hope to see the clarets start to fizz.

Whats the point of putting a cork in the claret. Surely a claret should be enjoyed, not by being bottled up :) :)

I'll tell you what I am liking - signing players on 4yr contracts.

Shows a willingness to commit from both parties

Nothing confirmed that I could see so I've placed him at the bottom of the first team squad on the squad list until he gets a number. He wore 42 first time and I think he had 6 the second time. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get 4.

Shows we are in a stronger position than we've been in previously - Tom got one last year and now both Taylor & Cork.

Sounds like CT sees him like me, as a stifling sort of signing making sure the fizz doesn't get out.
Of course for me the most exciting development would be if he gets used as a holding midfielder and we see a style change.

Only kidding Sidney but the title does sound a little life denying rather than affirming.

Pop goes the Claret Cork as Jack brings joy to the town, might have a more affirmative feel.

Can still remember the despair when he went to Southampton 6 years ago this month. Seemed to symbolise our inability to compete with the championship big boys and presage a steady fall down the league. Who could have foreseen the Dyche miracle. Now it really feels like we can attract experienced premier league talent and shows how vital it was that Dyche stayed at the helm. The future is beginning to feel very bright.

Are you for real??? We are Burnley who are trying our damndest to compete by formulating a young and experienced team at the same time, but keeping the backbone of our home fortress but add a few wins away. If you don't get that, your better off going to watch City, I believe they have lots of money and empty seats

He's not a reserve but he was Swansea captain. It's not £10m either unless they get all the add ins and that would mean at least another year in the Premier League. That makes him very good value.

Good player, good signing?! we will see.

Past memories, feel good factor, SD type of player, a lot in his favour, but as to whether he can make this side evolve more than Westwood for instance I'm not so sure.
My first thoughts were this confirms 4-4-2 but he has got the ability to play as a holding midfielder the position I think we most need filling, and Tarka can be left up field were be really could be a threat?

There are still 7 weeks to go in this transfer window and we have signed three first team starters (arguably) not development squad players for the future.

This is a strong positive start to this window, imho.

I'm happy I hope you're happy too, as David Jones once sang.
