club have released a video of first days training. they are at Carton House Spa at Maynooth. As alluded to earlier gaining access could be more difficult.

We're playing their kids. Just hope the pitch can handle being used twice in 24 hours, otherwise it could be an even bigger farce.

Your drum is getting very boring. It's not a farce, the clubs knew the situation and it would have been the same had the not been in Europe.
We all know what sort of game Sean Dyche wants for the first pre-season game and that's what we are getting.
I'm certainly looking forward to it.

I don't think I've ever come across a manager, staff and players so good as the ones we have now.

Fingers crossed no one breaks their ankle on the rutted pitch then, or gets done by an eager teenager trying to prove he can play mens football. Thats the worst that can happen.
The best is we turn over a bunch of kids 20-0 in a pointless game and the travelling fans get ratted on €6 Guinness.

I honestly don't think it is about the match v Shamrock Rovers. Its more about getting the lads together for a bit of bonding and fitness work

Then Sean chatted with them for ten minutes
They all came back to area where we were standing
Chatted took photos with fans
Really great bunch lads and management .....
A credit to the club.
They have afternoon off for some down time.
Then as we left Sean and Ian were heading off for a run together
While the lads when for showers and lunch.

Exactly this. It'll be a nice PR excercise for Burnley FC and a nice treat for Irish fans to see some of their International heroes. Maybe gain a few more Irish fans.
For the players, it's not relevant who we play, or what the result is. Just getting some game time, a bit of match fitness, team bonding and getting used to each other.

I popped down the Carton Hotel got there about 1100 but had to leave at 1200 so missed the session BlyClaret describes with the players and SD. Everyone seemed in high spirits - Defour's body language aside he seemed a bit unhappy. Great to see Jack Cork in a claret and blue short again.

I went to Dublin almost 2 years ago, we met a couple of locals out there.
One of the lads didn't support any teams apart from being a huge international ROI fan! He told me this week via BookFace that he followed Burnley the whole of last season due to the Irish link and that because Walters also joined our squad that he now identifies as a Burnley fan.
I jokingly offered to purchase a home shirt for him, to which he responded he had already purchased one!!

Dear oh dear. So you are not happy with the pre season plans. Maybe you should contact the manager and tell him he's got it all wrong.

Have you engaged your brain today?
Manager has list of clubs he'd like to play pre season.
Gives said list to someone at the club to sort out...

So Sean Dyche absolutely dreamed of playing just-promoted German nobodies Hannover 96?

Hardly nobodies. They've won the German Title the same number of times as we have won the English Title.

Just today don't think he engages it any day and on any thread. If you dislike Burnley so much "up the Beehole"why do you support them. You ,ABC and KRBFC never have anything good to say about Burnley.

At Carton House now. Easy access. Training 11-12.30 again. Squad started with ball work now doing some fitness. Good to see Marney doing some training (some running separate to the rest)

Just back and have to echo previously said what a great down to earth bunch our players and staff are - they all stayed behind after for autographs and pictures with whoever wanted one. No airs and graces.
Proud to be a Claret!
