We've made special arrangements for a family member to make his own way there before an there wasn't an issue so maybe people with exceptional circumstances could speak to the club.
Personally enjoy the atmosphere on the buses an dont feel like I'm being treated as a criminal but more that the police are keeping me and my family safe from morons.
Would never stop me going to this fixture people need to get over it an see the good what the club and police are doing.
Nobody's saying they should stop running coaches. Just that not everyone should be forced to use them.
If you enjoy it then fine, good for you

Anyone found any evidence of the club speaking out about these arrangements yet??

The simple fact is we daren't stand up to Lancashire Police. It is a disgrace that we are forced into these stupid and over the top measures because they cannot and will not police this fixture properly.

Most Burnley fans work for a living and are faced with delays over making concrete arrangements purely because of this outrageous decision by our local police force - I need to potentially book a few hours off work to attend this fixture but until this is officially announced am unable to do so.

All other derbys in the UK are managed without bubble travel, the police just cant be arsed having to police (their job) and the club are too spineless to stand up to it which results in us being herded into the ground like criminals.

Given this is an evening fixture it causes a lot of inconvenience for most fans and is just pathetic.

The bus being forced on us means my youngest lad can't make the game now, whereas if we were allowed to make our own way there then he could. Well done, you've (the police/clubs) just stopped a 16 year old going to a game where he, along with us, would not be interested in causing any trouble. It's very, very annoying.

See post 137. As I inferred, that's just what the police want.

Good - Really sorry to hear that your lad won't be able to make it by bus and (without seeming to appear nosy) wondered why that was so?

I quite the novelty of the transport arrangements - plus I can have a couple of pints with no parking hassles

How have you come to the conclusion he could go on his own but not on the buses before they've even released the bus times yet?

We rung the club directly when we needed to and they arranged for a police officer to meet one of our family at the gate who then escorted him to the turnstiles.
Police and club very helpful, not saying they'd do it for everybody but we asked an they helped us massively ensuring a fan didnt miss the game.

On previous threads the police have been accused of 'wanting trouble' at away games or at the turf an get slated yet because they choose the most sensible option to ensure safety and cost is kept down people say they can't be bothered doing there jobs.
The person who makes the decision probably doesn't even go out an do that sorta thing so doubt he/she would care.
Think of the damage caused to private, public houses or property that people like you and me have to pay to be repaired ourselves if its ours which can be caused by a few idiots causing bother

I think you are confusing 'most sensible' with easiest.

IS THE PRICE OF THE BUS INCLUDED IN THE ALREADY QUOTED TICKET PRICES?
DO WE GET A FREE INFLATABLE CHICKEN AS WE ARRIVE?

Hi Leisure.

He has just started as a scholar at AFC Fylde so won't be back until about 6pm. Don't worry about the nosiness, ha ha! :D

No, maybe not to be fair but I'd be surprised if they are leaving the Turf any later than 6.30 - 6.45 (realistic time for us to be able to get to the Turf once he has landed back).

And thank you, he's loving it! (Just a shame it's not with the Clarets) :)

At £22 for the ticket then being forced to have to buy a bus ticket the cost is ridiculous for a 2nd round league cup game. If that is the case then I doubt I will be attending :x :x

Once of a day I would have too. In fact I would have put going to any Burnley game above most things, but with two little ones to think of and having to justify the cost to myself, a 2nd round league cup match at £30 (approx) isn't worth it when I could do a home league game against a top 6 side for only a little more and without the stupid travel arrangements and the additional time it would take.

COACH TRAVEL DETAILS:

Coach travel to this fixture is compulsory for all visiting fans.

Burnley Football Club will pay for the coaching of all supporters to the game, either from Turf Moor or via Supporters Clubs.

Tickets bought by one of the methods listed below will include a voucher, which includes a departure time and zone location for pick up.

There is one pick-up point, which is Turf Moor. The first convoy of coaches will leave at 6pm.

Please note that due to limited planning time and the locations in proximity to local businesses, we are regrettably unable to utilise the pick-up points previously used at Widow Hill Road and Lower Phillips Road, both in Blackburn.

Supporters Clubs’ coaches will meet at Rishton (A678, Blackburn Road, nr East Lancashire Sailing Club, BB1 4ET, facing Whitebirk roundabout).

Please ensure you arrive at your departure point 15 minutes before embarking.

Limited car parking will be available on the Harry Potts Car Park at Turf Moor.

Supporters are requested to present relevant coach and match tickets when boarding their allocated coach. Supporters are also asked to adhere to the ticketing sales policy, otherwise they may be refused access to the transport provided. Your co-operation with this is essential to ensure the operation runs to schedule.

Food and soft drinks can be taken on board the coaches, but Blackburn Rovers have implemented a ‘no-bottle policy’ within the Ewood Park stadium.
This includes glass and plastic bottles. However, flasks are permitted.
Therefore, supporters are requested to leave bottles either in the waste bins provided at Turf Moor, or at the turnstiles at Ewood Park.

No alcohol will be permitted into the North East car park, and you may be searched on entry.

The James Hargreaves (lower tier) concourse will be open until 6.30pm for toilet facilities and refreshments.

Paying for coaches is a bit tight; with all this Premier League money, you'd think they could at least pay for taxis.

Any Supporters coaches going from the Blackpool area ?

Really struggling with this. Working in the morning (Down South)travelling up to Blackpool for a stag do on the Wednesday and would need to check in to B&B but then never going to make it across to Burnley in time. Also getting back to Blackpool afterwards would be tight as will be on the train.

Really well done the club for footing the cost. Will also be good to see us sell out.

Anyone know if you can get on any coach and / or whether tickets are season ticket holders only first?

8 of us will be going together but only 4 of us are season ticket holders. Ideally would like to travel on the same coach and sit near each other at the game.

Only on sale for season tickets holders to begin with and then general sale on Monday morning.

Also you get assigned a coach number when buying the ticket as if you miss the coach you won't be allowed onto another.
