Suggestion - Emre Mor

Post by Young_Claret_91 » Fri Aug 18, 2017 3:58 pm

Not sure if someone has already mentioned this name....

Emre Mor, 20 year old striker currently at Dortmund. He's a tremendously exciting European prospect that can play as Striker or on either wing.

Mor was supposedly going to Inter Milan for around €12m but the deal has stalled.

At this price, with significant prospect for pace, goals and potential for huge sell-on value within a few years. Surely this is the type we should be looking to compete to sign, if no other Premier League clubs are challenging Inter?

He's very, very, very good but I don't think he'd be interested in a move for us.

Hell, a lot of that Borussia team are exceptional talents and I just can't see any of them coming here.

which piece of information are you asking about?

Here's an article about Dortmund's signing of him in 2016:

http://bundesligafanatic.com/new-signin ... -emre-mor/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He had 12 senior appearances with Dortmund with 1 goal and 3 assists last season. Also capped 12 times by Turkey.

i'm just asking what your OP is based on?

Tend to agree. Unless you're a Bundesliga aficionado, this name means little. The fact only Inter are in for him is interesting (that we know of anyway) but Milan or Burnley?!

I enjoy keeping up to date on Bundesliga, and have an interest in the Dortmund model of how they are doing things. Continuously produce top talent, similar to Benfica in many ways.

There's a lot of interest around this player, there are many articles suggesting that he's an exciting prospect and has proved he has real talent in matches.

Apologies if this has upset you, maybe part of my intention is to help give an insight to those who don't know so much about European football. If you hadn't noticed, that's where an increasing number of Premier League footballers are bought from.

Losing count of how many ridiculous posts I see about "we should sign this guy"...This isn't football manager, it isn't just about the transfer fee! It's wages that are the big killer, as well as club prestige & perception and career aspirations. Why would a guy want to leave Dortmund for Burnley if the likes of Inter Milan are in for him....

I think Cutsy wants to know how many times you've watched him or if you're basing it on reading up on said player.

They don't produce their own players, do they?

I didn't realise you have to meet certain criteria to be allowed to post about football on this board!

I've read about him and seen videos, never watched in person.

Not necessarily, but still tend to buy players in young rather than old, and develop them.
So differ from Benfica a little.

You don't have to meet any criteria, but if you've only seen a few Youtube videos and read glowing reviews and stories online about this dude. It'll get shot down quicker than a duck on the opening day of duck season!

Exactly that.

Not having a dig at the OP its good for people to post about potential exciting prospects. I jus think thers too many names everyday posted of who we shud b looking at of many unknowns.

If you follow bundesliga and rate him well then fair enuf but like others say dortmund to burnley doesnt sit well

Our last German signing didn't cut the mustard,if we were going down this road i would prefer loans initially.

Easy tiger - I'm just stating what I thought from reading the posts. You post what you like, mate.

I'd love for us to be targeting players of a young age and with bags of potential.

Premier League and stepping stone to Man City/Utd etc. Especially at 20, as that's probably all he's watched and been an ambition since he was a child.
