Would we have still signed wood if we managed to get assombalonga

Post by Reecey1987 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 7:42 pm

Anybody think we were after both or is wood an alternative because we lost out on him . Given what dyche said the other day saying that he isnt grays replacement makes you think was he after both and landed 1 . Or because he missed out on one we got the other. Also there 2 different players all together they both offer different things.

I think Dyche wanted to stick to his record of signing reliable brits - but when he could'nt find anyone with pace he was going to settle for a Britt.

I'm glad with the way it turned out either way, Wood is a much better fit.

I think SD always had Wood in mind to compete with Sam. I don't think Wood arrival effects our search for a pacey forward. I expect one to arrive in the next few days... along with a CB

Im not saying wood isnt a good player because he his . All im saying given that we had a few bids turned down for assombalonga . If we had managed to sign him would we have still got wood given there 2 different players
